Major PPV to be held in the U.K. next year

WWE officials are indeed considering holding the 2013 SummerSlam pay-per-view in Wales. The main issue would be the time difference, which is why people within WWE don't believe it will happen, despite recent negotiations. If WWE ends up holding SummerSlam in Wales, that would likely shoot Los Angeles to the top of the list for a potential WrestleMania 30 location.

Locations for both shows should be confirmed within the next two months. For what it's worth, there is a lot of talk in the WWE offices that Los Angeles will be getting a WrestleMania soon.

We noted last week that WWE officials were talking with a number of domed and outdoor stadiums in the UK. Reports from the UK suggest that WWE is looking at holding a show there in July, which could be the Money in the Bank pay-per-view or a UK-only mega show.

So either Summerslam at the Millenium Stadium in Wales or Money in the Bank somewhere in England!

Millenium Stadium in Wales? That's 75K seats. I doubt it.

Re: Major PPV to be held in the U.K next year

It makes sense to have SummerSlam on this side of the pond if they want Wrestlemania to be in LA. I'd love it to be at Wembley, purely because of convenience and cost, but would still go if it was at Millennium. It's a great stadium and I have happy memories of going there with The Arsenal for FA Cup finals Plus, (like for many people) this would be my first PPV in the UK, so I'd have to go wherever it's held.

Re: Major PPV to be held in the U.K next year

I think if they hyped it up enough, constantly saying "You're gonna be on live PPV TV!" and "Titles will change hands! Wade Barrett has something important to do! William Regal will be there!" and maybe moved it back an hour, British audiences would come regardless of the hour.

Seriously, you have Regal/ Barrett, hell, even Ryan or Drew come out and put on the National Anthem the crowd will be god damn brilliant.

Honestly, I'd just love to see some wrestlers appear on British talk shows like Graham Norton.

"Get up fools, this mah table now!"
