id love this. Makes punk go over a true legend. And btw, when the hell was Mick ever in shape? Oh that's right NEVER!
He never looked like he was in shape but he was able to wrestle long matches at a quick pace. I don't think he could do that now so I don't see how he could make a singles match with Punk work. Call it shape or phyisical conditioning but however you look at it I'm not sure if Foley can physically do what needs to be done to work a main event match against Punk. If they do go through with the idea I would be excited to see the match in hopes of Mick proving everyone wrong.
The promos leading into the match would be incredible at least.
Why? Foley is in terrible shape. This would just be Punk smashing chairs on Foley, occasionally Foley will hit Punk with a few, but eventually (and predictably) Punk wins. C'mon WWE, at least try to make it a bit unpredictable.
They have made it unpredictable. Punk/Cena NOC, Punk/Ryback HIAC, and now Punk/Cena/Ryback.
Whilst I have zero desire to see it, it's certainly been on the cards for a good month or so and atleast it explained the sudden half-feud they've been in over past few weeks.
Foley can't even move to do a stop interference spot with Heyman so how in the hell is he going to work a match with Punk? Just stay on the sidelines Mick.
I can't speak on Foley's condition but i would be for it & just as another poster said it sets up Rock/Punk perfectly, but I'd take anything over another Punk/Ryback or Punk/Cena match.
I don't wanna see mick competing because of his shape, but honestly, it isn't a bad decision
it would set the paste for Rock/Punk at the rumble if Punk leave Series with the belt (which is what will mostly happen)

The more I think about it, the more I wouldn't mind a match between the two (presumably a hardcore one, a little over 10 minutes) as it would be a good set up before Rock/ Punk but I'd rather it not be the PPV before the Rumble, rather a RAW Main Event. Then again I think Foley is the only guy right now Punk could face and not be booked like a complete bitch against.
