Would the Survivor Series card have been better this way ???
Personally nothing about Team Foley/Team Punk excited me when that seemed to be the way WWE were going to go for Survivor Series outside of the possibility of Mick Foley and CM Punk maybe having a couple of promo battles along the way. I was more excited about the possibility of Cena/Ziggler as they have always had good matches with each other and it was reported the two of them were tearing up the house show scene but alas neither match is now happening.
Because of a clear fear of a poor buyrate Vince McMahon has thrown John Cena into a Triple Threat match for the WWE title against CM Punk and Ryback whilst for no apparent reason we now have Team Foley/Team Ziggler with John Cena involved every week on Raw with Dolph Ziggler and Mick Foley still involved with CM Punk. Now i'm all for old school five on five elimination matches being a major part of Survivor Series as it's traditional for that PPV but surely going with Foley/Punk/Ryback for the WWE title and Cena/Ziggler as the two main matches for Raw and Sheamus/Show for the World title for SmackDown made better sense, i would have love the card to look like this.
Foley/Punk/Ryback for the WWE title and a Foley/Punk match for TLC set up
Sheamus/Show for the World title
R-Truth/Antonio Cesaro for the US title
Kaitlyn/Eve for the Diva's title
Team Orton with Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, Kofi Kingston and Christian/Team Del Rio with Alberto Del Rio, The Prime Time Players, The Miz and Wade Barrett
Team Hell No with Bryan Danielson, Kane, Zack Ryder, Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd/Team Rhodes Scholars with Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Tensai, Epico and Primo
