I don't know. The headliners for this Wrestlemania being advertised as Rock, Brock and Cena doesn't bode too well for his chances. I'm thinking it'll only happen if he's against one of the three. Which to be fair, in all likeness, he will be.

With Cena/Rock, Triple H/Lesnar and something involving The Undertaker all most likely to happen i don't quite see CM Punk closing the show with A.N Other unless it involves Stone Cold Steve Austin which with the aforementioned names above as well as Randy Orton, Sheamus, Rey Mysterio and maybe Chris Jericho won't happen because Stone Cold Steve Austin much like The Rock can carry a whole WrestleMania on his own so wouldn't be wasted on a stacked card.

Agree and also just because WM 29 is being headline around Rock, Brock, and Cena doesn't mean that they will go on last. Rock vs Hogan was centered around WM 18 and they didnt go on last

I' dont know, he will lost the title at RR (or before it) and at WM maybe he will take on Sheamus, just a prediction.

It would have to be a triple threat match, which I've thought should be the rightful main event at this year's WrestleMania since The Rock announced he'd get a title shot at the Rumble. Punk/Rock/Cena has a lot of potential, and would definitely have a lot of buzz to it. It'd also allow for the build to the match to continue without heavy use of The Rock on TV, especially if his filming schedule is heavy at the time.

John Cena wins the number one contender Elimination Chamber match and CM Punk invokes his rematch clause at WrestleMania. It works.

Cena pins Punk for Rocky's title, setting in motion the start of a grand tradition: "John Cena vs. The Rock: Once a Year... Forever!"

WWE has been continuing to tease Rock vs. Punk over and over, and I think everyone (myself included) assumes that it will happen at the Rumble, putting the title on Rock, setting up Cena/Rock II at Mania.

However...

What if WWE has been planting the seeds and teasing Rock/Punk for a while now, not for the Rumble, but for Mania? If that is the case, I think it would be an incredible way to close the show out and really give Punk that final big rub he needs to be "on that level".

Rock's name alone in the main event at Mania sells the PPV and warrants the headline spot. Instead of having a rematch with Cena, putting Punk - WWE's top and hottest heel - against the greatest wrestler in WWE history could sell huge. Rock/Cena II just doesn't have flair to it...ESPECIALLY after they tagged the WM 28th match "Once In A Lifetime".

There are only two ways I could see this happening are:

1. Punk retains at Survivor Series, but faces Cena at TLC for the WWE Title and loses. Cena faces Rock at the Rumble and Rock going over. Punk then challenges Rock for the title at Mania.

2. Punk retains the WWE Title into 2013 and walks into the Rumble as champion to face Rock. Rock goes over, setting up to walk into Mania as the champion. Punk enters himself into the Royal Rumble match later in the night and wins...earning the match to face Rock again for the belt at Mania.

The issue with option 1 is that it involves Rock going over Cena again...and this time for the WWE Title. Furthermore it makes Cena a transition champ. I just can't see Vince allowing that. The issues with option 2 is that the main event of Mania becomes a rematch (not that that has stopped them in years past...)

I think option 2 has more potential for validating the closing match spot at Mania, and protects almost everyone involved. Regardless of the way WWE gets there, if they are serious about Punk being in the main event, he needs to go over. No use putting him there if he's just going to job...it's no different than him being WWE champ for all of that time but not closing the show. WWE has to go all in, and Punk going over Rock would be MASSIVE.

Dude, it's like you almost read my mind with Option 2 lol. But I say almost because I have now warmed up to the idea that Punk should beat Rock at RR, setting up a rematch down the line at Mania. It would be monu-fucking-mental to have Punk close the show at WrestleMania, while also having a FIVE. HUNDRED. DAY reign as WWE Champion. It would be something that talked about in the annals of history forever. Plus, with Rock getting the win at Mania, it would give people that satisfying feeling that the big bad heel's mammoth title reign coming to an end would the final lasting and endearing image of WrestleMania XXIX, and also complete a great comeback story for The Rock.

But then again, with Cena being involved in this equation (and is he NOT, they could go the route of the triple threat, but I would LOVE it if Punk holds the title ALL. THE. WAY to WM.

I've loved the idea of Punk losing the belt at the Rumble only to enter himself in the Royal Rumble and win for months. But let's face it, Punk/Rock is main eventing so the idea is out the window.

Despite all the triple threats featuring them, I'm still unopposed to Cena/Punk/Rock. It'd give closure (something WM rarely does thesedays) to the story between the three that will have been going on for 2 years. Just make sure they don't cross paths again afterwards.
