Divas Champion Eve vs. Kaitlyn

Though her quest to become WWE Divas Champion has been fraught with setbacks, the persistent Kaitlyn has powered her way back into contention and will face Eve for the butterfly-emblazoned title live on pay-per-view at Survivor Series this Sunday.

On the Nov. 12 edition of Raw, the Divas division’s resident powerhouse shockingly upset former champion Layla to become the No. 1 contender to Eve’s championship. With the victory over her close friend, The Hybrid Diva earned herself another crack at the title she has relentlessly chased since late summer.

The WWE Universe undoubtedly remembers the awe plastered across everyone’s face when Kaitlyn outlasted a ring full of Divas, including Eve, in an Aug. 20 Battle Royal on Raw to become the top contender to then-champion Layla. (WATCH) Kaitlyn’s title opportunity scheduled for Night of Champions, however, was derailed when a mystery attacker with blond hair laid out the NXT season three winner backstage, injuring her leg.

In a fortuitous (or convenient, depending on your perspective) twist of fate, Eve swooped in to take Kaitlyn’s place against Layla, and at Night of Champions, the jiu-jitsu expert unseated Layla to capture her third Divas Title.

The subsequent controversy surrounding Kaitlyn and her anonymous attacker became a focal point for not only WWE’s other Divas, but also the administration of SmackDown General Manager Booker T, whose assistant, Eve, was heavily suspected to be involved in Kaitlyn’s takedown. Though Aksana was loosely implicated as Kaitlyn’s wig-wearing attacker, the cold, hard facts of the case are still tough to come by.

Despite repeat assurances that she played no part in the backstage assault, Eve has not exactly been cleared of wrongdoing in the matter, and the tension between she and Kaitlyn has grown ever since.

Fast forward to WWE Hell in a Cell, the scene of a Triple Threat Divas Title Match between Eve, Layla and Kaitlyn. Freshly healed from her leg injury, Kaitlyn put on a heroic performance and delivered more than a couple impressive feats of strength en route to a devastating loss: Eve retained the title by ousting Kaitlyn from the ring and pinning Layla.

Even without losing the deciding fall, Kaitlyn’s rapid rise in the Divas division seemingly hit a roadblock.

Though that might be enough to deter some competitors, Kaitlyn, true to character, persevered. Intent on making her presence known in the Divas division, she paired with Layla to defeat Eve and Aksana on the Nov. 5 edition of Raw, which led to the No. 1 contender singles bout between her and Layla on Nov. 12.

With several big-time wins in her back pocket, pent-up frustration directed at Eve and a burning desire to get her first taste of WWE championship gold, Kaitlyn is homing in on Survivor Series this Sunday. Will the cunning Eve, who always appears one step ahead of her competition, be ready for a more determined, and possibly more dangerous, Kaitlyn? Or perhaps more to the point, is Kaitlyn ready to finally seize her moment, now that she’s fought her way back to the title scene? The entire Divas division will be watching closely this Sunday, when Survivor Series airs live on pay-per-view at 8 ET/5 PT. (HOW TO WATCH)

Eve will retain, but I honestly couldn't give the slightest fuck. The division at it's worst ever and anyone who thinks it's improving is a blind mark. The roster is terrible and WWE really need to replace the many divas who left the company this year and replace them with Divas who actually look somewhat interesting, like Paige on NXT. If they did that, they wouldn't have to feature horrible performers like Kaityln in the division's top feud.

I'm going with Kaitlyn on this one. Just as most faces I think Kaitlyn finally gets her revenge on the heel (Eve) and captures the divas championship. Besides I think the plan is to have Kaitlyn vs Aj for the divas championship once Aj is done with the whole Cena/Vickie/Dolph angle.

I also talk about this in detail in my prediction/ WWE 13 simulation video of the match

Eve wins

Eve retains against Tamina at TLC, then Natalya at RR, then Aj steps in. AJ wins at WM.

WWE does not plan ahead for Divas division like that.

Remember last year when everyone said it would be Beth vs Natalya? They use the Diva's match as a tool of promotion at WM, to get the guests in to 'wrestle'. I guarantee, they will get Kelly Kelly back for one more night with Maria Meneusus again.

Fairly confident that Kaitlyn wins this one. Big fan of Eve and will be disappointed to see her drop the belt.

Only reason for Kaitlyn to not win is that there are no heel contenders other than Eve, whereas if Eve retains (maybe Alicia Fox), they still have Natalya, AJ, Layla (less of since she failed to win back belt), and even Tamina.

Why do you think that? Kaitlyn's still a relatively new diva who's boring and can't really act to save her life. At least Eve is passable.

I think Eve will hold the title for a few months (possibly until WrestleMania) and drop it to AJ.
Because of the way the story has developed. Finally leading to the face getting her justified revenge.

It's pretty much an ABC storyline leading to an ABC result. ABC being the face at the end of the "torment" so to speak, getting the final upperhand.

It's funny when people say Kaitlyn can't act. Watch her shtick with Maxine and company on NXT from before it got revamped.

Her current character is what's holding her back. If she was allowed to use more of her personality she'd probably be just a bit more over.

Kaitlyn is improving a lot but I don't think she is ready to be champion. I want Eve to retain and keep the title till Paige debuts. Hpefully, Paige will keep the anti-diva gimmick and retire the butterfly belt. They need to hire talent over models, with the current gap in the division they could revamp the whole division.

I can't help but think Eve will win. Like someone said above, who's there for Kaitlyn to feud with after? She's not ready. Besides the only feud worth seeing right now is Eve/AJ. That'll be the one after, hopefully going into Mania with AJ taking the title.

I know the divas roster is relatively thin but the only interesting in-ring female wrestler on the main roster right now is Kaitlyn, simply because she's much more powerful than the other divas and seems much more athletic.
She definitely has room to improve, but she's by no means the worst diva.

I would fucking love for Kaitlyn and Natalya to magically somehow get a following and make people care about the divas division again and have a 30 minute ironwoman match just to show their capabilities.
