Sorry if this has been discused but it just occurred to me.

A triple threat match for the title. Cena, Punk, and a third member who was shoehorned into the conflict. Someone who will undoubtedly have little to no effect on the outcome, or even future events in regards to Cena and Punk storyline.

That's right. They're giving this match to us AGAIN. Hope you didn't pay 50 bucks for Summerslam.

SummerSlam was all about Brock and HHH. So another difference here is SVS is a rehash without a real drawing match.

Exactly, TW Which is why the original team match should have stayed. I said this before in another topic, its exact same scenario we just saw. Only difference is Punk is feuding with Ryback as opposed to just being the extra wheel in Cena's feud.

To be fair, the vast majority of people who bought Summerslam were buying it to see :brock vs :hhh.

This match was going to happen anyways since both Ryback & Cena were in line for re-matches. The question was if if would TLC or Survivor Series. Guess they decided on SS.

It does leave what TLC in an interesting behind if Punk retains. If Ryvack or Cena wins than obvious what TLC main event will be

1. Cena/Punk/Ryback is a bigger draw then Punk/Cena/Show
2. Ryback is not the one getting pinned here.
3. All 3 men have a reason for being in the match, unlike Big Show.
4. More on the line in this match
- Punk's year long title reign
- Ryback's momentum
- Will Cena finally get the title after over a year without it
- Who will go on to face the Rock
5. Will probably be a better match then Summerslam


Punk vs Cena vs Ryback is a big draw. Just like how Punk/Ryback was a big draw at Hell in a Cell.

Meh, at least it's a different third person. It's possible that they will do that again at 'Mania (with Rock instead of Ryback/Show)...

One of the main reasons I'm eager to watch this PPV besides Miz's evolution as a Face, is a Ryback/Cena confrontation, which I wasn't when Show was in the match.
