Presumed Original Plans For Ryback For HIAC Before Actual End

Quote:
We've noted how WWE officials, mainly Vince McMahon, went back and forth on the finish for Ryback vs. CM Punk at Hell In a Cell.

The original plan was for Ryback to win the WWE Title clean in the middle of the ring, hold it through Survivor Series and then drop it at TLC in a multi-man match where he wouldn't be pinned or submitted. This was the plan through October 25th, the Thursday before the pay-per-view. The next day, Vince changed his mind and concluded that of the two, Punk's streak was the one that had been hammered home on TV and keeping that streak alive would only help business through WrestleMania season. Vince noted that while it had been mentioned on TV that Ryback was undefeated, it wasn't central to the storyline.

One WWE source close to creative was amazed that Vince made up his mind on the finish on October 26th and three straight days went by without him changing his mind.

Once they decided to have Ryback lose, many ideas were discussed on how to make that happen. They eventually settled on the Brad Maddox finish but had discussed run-ins by Big Show, Brock Lesnar, Mark Henry, Vince himself and others.

to save money. Vince would have to pay him even more to make an unexpected appearance.

Still have hope he will appear at Survivor Series in some form

The finish they went with was so weak. A run-in from one of those mentioned would have been infinitely better, especially if it had been BRAWCK

A run in from Vince or Brock Lesnar would have been great, hell even Mark Henry. The ref finish was kind of abrupt and nothing special.

Not Removing Until:

John Cena faces Undertaker at Wrestlemania [ ]

Sheamus and Cm Punk are the 2 World Champions [X] -Wrestlemania 28

John Morrison wins World Title [ ]

John Cena losses cleanly [X]- Wrestlemania 28 Rock Beats John Cena

John Cena turns heel [ ]

Shawn Michaels returns for One More Match[ ]

Daniel Bryan beats a Main Eventer cleanly [ ]

I was thinking before hand that it would have been cool if Vince and Punk were trolling us all along and that it would turn out Vince had aligned with Punk and Heyman. Thus Vince would have shown up at HIAC and screwed out Ryback.

The reason...man up and blame the ratings dropping on John Cena's head since he is the face of the company and that he wanted to prevent Cena from winning the title. Unfortunately for Ryback, Cena got injured and Ryback was just purely in the wrong place at the wrong time.

This would anger Ryback and he would be hell bent on getting his hands on Vince. What better way IMO to try and continue Rybacks push and get more fans behind him than feuding him with the ego maniacal chairman of the company. Would keep Ryback away from feuding with Punk.

Then as Vince has grown tired of Cena, it could tie in as to why he fired AJ based on the allegations from Vickie. And then HHH could return somewhere down the line to announce him and the board of directors has appointed Flair the new GM because of what Vince did to AJ.

I can only hope that the reason as to why Brad Maddox did what he did was on the orders of Vince McMahon, whether or not it has anything to do with my idea above.

Sounds like B.S.

If the option of having Brock or even Vince do a run in was on the table they'd be stupid to not have used it.

Re: Presumed Original Plans For Ryback For HIAC Before Actual End

The only option other than what happened and Ryback winning, would have been Vince screwing him. Possibly leading to Vince vs HHH for control of the company at Mania, but Lesnar representing Vince. That's the kind of shit the writers should be frothing at the mouth over.
