Divas Champion Eve vs. Layla vs. Kaitlyn — Divas Championship Triple Threat Match
In the midst of an all-out femme fatale melee erupting on Raw and wild accusations being tossed around week after week, General Manager Booker T devised a solution on SmackDown to try and end the chaos that has consumed WWE’s Divas division: Eve, Kaitlyn and Layla will battle in a Triple Threat Match for Eve’s Divas Title at Hell in a Cell.
Ever since a mysterious blonde attacker brutally injured Kaitlyn at Night of Champions, rendering her unable to compete in her planned title match, there has been an ongoing search to find the guilty party. Amid the controversy that has rocked the Divas division and the Booker T administration to its very core, Kaitlyn herself has not been shy about stating she suspects current Divas Champion Eve is the culprit. After all, it was Eve who stepped in at Night of Champions, assuming Kaitlyn’s No. 1 contender status and going on to defeat Layla to begin her third reign with the butterfly-emblazoned title.
A baffling blond wig, Theodore Long’s discovery of incriminating information on Eve’s unattended iPad and the involvement of alleged hit woman Aksana all deepened the unsolved mystery. Questions such as “Who attacked Kaitlyn?” “Did Eve hire Aksana?” and “Could anyone really get on Eve’s iPad and frame her?” all led to no concrete answers or resolution.
Now with the decree by the GM Booker T, the three Divas at the center of this explosive and personal conflict will settle their differences in the squared circle. At first glance, it would appear that Kaitlyn and Layla have more scores to settle with Eve than with each other. “The Hybrid Diva” and the insatiable former champion not only have an established friendship and have both been open about their animosity toward Eve, but they also have recent experience teaming together. That could make the match evolve into something resembling a Two-on-One Handicap Match against Eve. Or maybe not.
Despite Layla and Kaitlyn’s camaraderie, the WWE Universe should not forget that the two Divas were fully prepared to fight each other for the title at Night of Champions before the attack on Kaitlyn changed the course of the Divas division.
Additionally, Layla did accidently hit Kaitlyn with a bombshell kick on the Oct. 26 edition of SmackDown. Could that plant a seed of mistrust or caution in Kaitlyn, who is surely eager for her first championship win? Alliances have a way of being thrown out the window when titles are on the line. Will Layla and Kaitlyn’s friendship last long enough to at least wear the champion down?
That is a tall order in and of itself. Eve has been a dominant titleholder for a reason. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu–trained beauty not only has intensity, versatility and offensive firepower in nearly every area, but she’s also already successfully defended her title against each of her two opponents in singles competition on the Oct. 8 and 15 episodes of Raw, respectively. As an opportunistic and ruthless reigning champion, Eve will do anything it takes to hold onto her precious title. She may indeed have to do anything and everything to defeat two hungry challengers.
The cloud of controversy that has hung over the Divas division for more than one month could finally pass. But there can be only one Divas Champion, so which stunner will be all smiles after Hell in a Cell? When the Winner of the 2006 Diva Search (Layla), Winner of the 2007 Diva Search (Eve) and the WWE NXT season three winner (Kaitlyn) lock horns in a Divas Championship Triple Threat Match at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on Sunday, Oct. 28, all bets are off. (HOW TO WATCH)
I want Kaitlyn to win "Only because she was so nice to me when I met her lulz"
"All you lords and ladies, still think that the only thing that matters is gold.
Well this (torturing people) makes me happier than all your gold ever could!
And that makes me happier than all her sapphires,
so go buy yourself a golden hand, and FUCK yourself with it!"
