Re: Greatest Hell In A Cell Match?

I still find it weird that Rock took the pin in that match. He was easily the biggest star at the time, and you'd think that surely in a 6 man match they'd find someone else to eat the pin.

As for the vote, went with the HBK/Taker one. As for those having a go at the Mankind/Taker one, while it mightn't be everyone's cup of tea, I can certainly understand why some people love that match. It probably the one match more than any other that I will never forget. I think that even if I live to be 90 and have Alzheimer's, that will be one match I will never forget.

speak for yourself. i barely got through my first viewing of it. i've watched it twice and enjoyed it more the second time but i don't think it's 5* or the greatest hiac match ever.

voted Lesnar/Taker and it was between that and the HHH/Foley one.

Re: Greatest Hell In A Cell Match?

HHH/Taker is probably the best match but it's not really a HIAC match, it could've easily been done in a normal ring. The HIAC element was just there so that it didn't feel like we were getting the same match two years running.

Taker/Lesnar is my personal favourite HIAC match. It was a proper HIAC brawl. They didn't go outside or anything like that but they did use the Cell as a weapon, so it demonstrated what a HIAC is designed for in that sense.

Re: Greatest Hell In A Cell Match?

lol I understand why people are saying King of the Ring 1998 it probably had one of WWE's biggest Holy shit moments, its my number one holy shit moment in the WWE, but come on it wasnt a good match besides the few spots Foley had, as a match it was rather bad but as a moment WWE history it was legendary...

Triple H was a heel like Kurt, Rikishi was out chokeslammed from the top, Taker was on top of the cell and Austin never took a pin clean during his top guy run. That leaves the Rock and hence the pin. It makes sense for the heel to pin the babyface to make the win legit.

That 6-Man HiaC is such a clusterfuck its not even funny. Kurt going over and retaining was great though.

Re: Greatest Hell In A Cell Match?

My favorite will always be Taker Vs. Shawn, the first ever Hell in a Cell.

That match was a game changer.

Re: Greatest Hell In A Cell Match?

Foley/Undertaker.

But Triple h/Cactus Jack is the most underrated Hell in a cell match.Everybody seems to remember The first two spots in his match with the undertaker yet Him falling through the roof inside the ring isnt considered memorable is beyond me.
