Yes, because the match they had on Raw was 10 seconds long...

Yeah but the match on Raw doesn't have to worry about time constraints.
Sheamus v Sandow or Ziggler or insert non established heel is going to be the last thing they're worried about.

As for this "report", its your typical crap, speculation at best. Taker will be working against Lesnar, thats big money match they are not going to throw that away. Rock/Cena II is obvious. Most of reports on HHH is based on the assumption that he always gets his win back or doesnt like to lose etc etc.. Its obviously ludicrous considering HHH loses most of his main events as a babyface, I dont think these idiots would ever realise the difference between a superstar losing a big main event match as a babyface compared to someone like jericho losing a upper mid card match as a heel. And HHH taps out most of the time. Lesnar has to tap out, for HHH to get his "win back". Taker/HHH is over, not happening 100% sure. It looks like Punk/Austin might actually happen this mania, they have been hinting on it for a while. All things considered in my estimation, HHH wont be working this mania at all.

I'm not so sure. Don't underestimate Floyd Mayweather's possible involvement at WM 29. Media attention wise putting him in a program with Brock Lesnar is bigger than anything else they could do and Undertaker and Floyd just don't mesh.

No, but I also don't think he's going to be the world champion at any point in his career. Vince has NEVER pushed an English guy to the world title, you can see that they have a ceiling in WWE. It's even worse than the way they treat black people.

Ummm, no he doesn't. He's a 3 time world champion, a Royal Rumble winner, a US champion, a King Of The Ring winner, etc. He's INVINCIBLE, he never loses. He's stronger than Orton at this point. Orton is tapping out to Del Rio and jobbing to Big Show and Sheamus is tearing everyone he faces apart.

Yes thats true. If Floyd is involved then HHH might return to be "in his corner" or something like that. Floyd/Brock could potentially deliver the biggest wrestlemania buyrate in history for Vince.

Nah, most of his opponents at PPVs have been midcarders including Bryan. Orton is far bigger star and he will be his first main event threat. Orton/Sheamus is the right call for Mania 29.

What kind of a threat is he? Orton is a joke right now, he tapped out to Alberto Del Rio and Big Show, a glorified main event jobber beat him handily. Sheamus has already beaten Orton clean too. It's not the right call, it will not get him more over, and even if it would, it's still the wrong call. We need OTHER stars. The WWE has a serious lack of depth. WWE desperately needs someone who has not been champion before to win at Mania.

Re: Backstage News On Potential RR & WM 29 Plans
I agree, and disagree with alot that has been said. Here is what I would do for mania
W.W.E. Title
John Cena vs The Rock
World Title
Sheamus vs Randy Orton
Triple H. vs C,M, Punk
Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar
Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler ( Face)
Tag Titles
Uso's vs Epico/Primo
Rey Mysterio vs Sin Cara
U.S. Title
Ryback vs Antonio Cesaro
I.C. Title
Miz vs Damian Sandow
M.I.T.B.
Cody Rhodes wins.

Re: Backstage News On Potential RR & WM 29 Plans
Sheamus/Orton is the biggest match SmackDown could do for Mania they were building to it until Orton got suspended.
Orton/Sheamus is the only match that can make the WHC feel important again (or at least not open Mania).

Re: Backstage News On Potential RR & WM 29 Plans
I'm not sure how it could make the WHC feel important when it makes absolutely no difference who wins, but ok...

Re: Backstage News On Potential RR & WM 29 Plans
^Right. Plus the World title has only been the 3rd (or in last year's case the 4th) most important match on the Mania card since WM 25. This year depending on how things are booked, the World title match will most likely be the 4th most important match again.

Re: Backstage News On Potential RR & WM 29 Plans
I rather watch the Irish man beat the English man at mania. Sheamus needs to show Barrett who's boss.
but Orton is great opponent for Sheamus
