that's Rock vs Hogan promo but doesn't give that vibe or chill as this fan made promo..

Austin vs Hogan match might not be that great but the built up could be epic over 1M buys guarantee...This isn't Icon vs Icon but The Battle of Greatest who have impact on Wrestling Austin 3:16 vs Hulkamania. as great as the Rock but he's not that on Level of Austin/Hulk...Hulk nearly kill WWF and Austin save WWF, plus these two have history at backstage do work shoot.

when Hogan mention no one bigger than Hulkamania only one guy could walk out that is Austin, Austin gave Hogan middle finger and gave a stunner.

too bad Austin have good reason refuse working with Hogan for Holding Austin back in WCW. the day Hogan walk in WCW is the end of Stunning Steve Austin.

I didn't like Hogan's ego against Austin, I'll always respect both wrestlers, that's why Austin left WCW in 94, why can't Hogan & WCW push Austin into main-eventer? Bischoff is wrong that Austin ONLY MID-CARD wrestler. I disagree with Hogan/Bischoff over Austin, he made Attitude Era with The Rock & I loved that era. WM22 should've put Hogan/Austin one-on-one, it's the right time 4 both of them 2 finish their careers. I can't blame Austin rejects Hogan match, shame this will never happen

Austin lost 2 Hacksaw US title match WCW 94, that's another reason he left WCW, Hogan started this whole ego stuff in 1st place, what would u do if u were forced 2 lose title in 20 secs? Do it or leave it. I'd leave the company like Austin did, same old Hulkster taking over creative control. Bret Hart is my No.1 fav wrestler of all-time, Austin No.2 by the way

is about Austin holding the grudge...can you believe Austin job out to Jim Duggan who was part of Hogan group? 3 times in the row at PPV. think about Bryan 18 second lost is a joke but Austin lost to Duggan no more than 10 second. after Austin got Fired US Title holder Duggan drop it to Vader. Can't blame Austin.

Rock refuse work with HBK while they have the chance....Shawn buried the rock back in the day and same goes for Austin who got buried by Hogan. Rock also have ego, in one of interview Rock doesn't want to do anything with Shawn. but in case of Austin is different, Stunning Steve Austin was ready for main event run but got hold back by Hogan.

This could have been great to be honest but too bad neither one of them wanted it.

nah , Rock was on fire in terms of popularity by the time of the early 00's , and he became a mainstream icon while Austin who was also a megastar and an icon , was stale at the time and not nearly as big a crossover star like Rock was in 02

plus I feel as if character-wise , Rock/Hogan blend in together much better

nope , read an interview from Rock in 2002 while shooting a movie , apparently Rock/Hogan was talked about since October 2001

it's the WM 22 match you are referring to , in which both men never agreed on it because of the finish

Was suppose to happen but unfortunately because of their past situation Austin was paranoid about the finish and if Hogan would put him over. We got the awesome Rock vs Hogan match anyways which was a true WrestleMania moment. But would of loved to see the two biggest superstars of all time have a match but in all likely hood would never happen bEcause they wouldn't of been able to organize a finish that suited their characters and ego. But as someone mentioned in a fake sport the fans are the true winners and especially in the case of this match.

The only way we could of got a match with those two would of been with a dq finish with McMahon interfering on austins behalf and bischoff interfering on hogans behalf. Or a scenario like a three stages of hell with Austin winning one, hogan winning the other and somehow getting a dq or draw. Bottom line is the two biggest superstars ever wouldn't be willing for the other to win and be called greater. Ego is a dirty word

i always find it funny how ppl clame it should have been austin hogan at wm18, as if their in the business and know what went down and they have proof.. please, maybe in 98 when austin was king of the world, but by 02 he was a shell of what he was, he was getting stale, he knew it, the company did, he took his ball because he knew he wasnt the top guy anymore, the rock was

I'm glad they went for Rock/Hogan

The biggest star of the 80s and 90s against the current biggest star

Austin was a shell in 2002 having not recovered from the failure that was his heel run.

Rock/Hogan was bigger and provided a much better match in terms of quality that Austin/Hogan would have

If it was politics which stopped Hogan/Austin then thank god for politics
