nah , Rock was on fire in terms of popularity by the time of the early 00's , and he became a mainstream icon while Austin who was also a megastar and an icon , was stale at the time and not nearly as big a crossover star like Rock was in 02
plus I feel as if character-wise , Rock/Hogan blend in together much better

nope , read an interview from Rock in 2002 while shooting a movie , apparently Rock/Hogan was talked about since October 2001
it's the WM 22 match you are referring to , in which both men never agreed on it because of the finish

Austin vs Hogan
Two of the biggest stars
Golden Age vs Attitude Era
Would have broken WM17 record, which hasn't been broken since

Stone Cold on CM Punk's epic promo-CMPunk just melted my 52 inch TV with a scorching hot
promo...delivery, content, and attitude...one of
the best promos I've ever seen.
Hulk Hogan on CM Punk-I think CM PUNK has stepped up and proved he can hold his own with anybody in the ring and anybody on the mic,he's on a roll. HH
My favourite wrestlers:
1.Stone Cold Steve Austin
2.HHH
3.CM Punk
4.Brock Lesnar
5.The Rock
Rock never refused to work with Shawn (I think). He said back in 99 that he never had interest in working with him but I don't think he was ever offered a Michaels match and refused it.
It's been said here that Michaels disrespected Rock's mom before.
I believe the match he refused was WM 19. They wanted him to face Michaels he wanted Austin.
The only way we could of got a match with those two would of been with a dq finish with McMahon interfering on austins behalf and bischoff interfering on hogans behalf. Or a scenario like a three stages of hell with Austin winning one, hogan winning the other and somehow getting a dq or draw. Bottom line is the two biggest superstars ever wouldn't be willing for the other to win and be called greater. Ego is a dirty word

Bradman 99.94 & Austin 3:16 = the G.O.A.T's
Because the rock jobbed to Austin at WrestleMania 15 & 17 and they were deciding who was second behind stone cold as the GOAT.
As for Rock316AE, surely you can't think he has any credibility left? Did you not see him get mauled a couple of months ago in this thread? It made for great reading. I recommend going back to look over it. Bigwwefan1980 tore holes in him and exposed his sham arguments and flip-flopping, and the GOAT thread has been a Rock316AE-free zone ever since.
Guys like Stuart82 and Bigwwefan and a few others just dealt in too much logic and had too many facts to hand for him to be able to handle it.
Its been a while since I have watched Stone Colds' DVD, but im sure he said something like "it should have been me with Hogan", in relation to he wanted to be in the main event picture instead of working with Scott Hall.
that's Rock vs Hogan promo but doesn't give that vibe or chill as this fan made promo..
Austin vs Hogan match might not be that great but the built up could be epic over 1M buys guarantee...This isn't Icon vs Icon but The Battle of Greatest who have impact on Wrestling Austin 3:16 vs Hulkamania. as great as the Rock but he's not that on Level of Austin/Hulk...Hulk nearly kill WWF and Austin save WWF, plus these two have history at backstage do work shoot.
when Hogan mention no one bigger than Hulkamania only one guy could walk out that is Austin, Austin gave Hogan middle finger and gave a stunner.
too bad Austin have good reason refuse working with Hogan for Holding Austin back in WCW. the day Hogan walk in WCW is the end of Stunning Steve Austin.
I agree Hogan vs Austin at WM 18 would have been the greatest buy in Wrestling history. No match could ever live up to the hype. No, they wouldn't have put on a 5 star match, but the build would have been epic.
Blame your boy Steve, his massive ego wouldn't allow him to work with The Hulkster.
Austin lost 2 Hacksaw US title match WCW 94, that's another reason he left WCW, Hogan started this whole ego stuff in 1st place, what would u do if u were forced 2 lose title in 20 secs? Do it or leave it. I'd leave the company like Austin did, same old Hulkster taking over creative control. Bret Hart is my No.1 fav wrestler of all-time, Austin No.2 by the way
Rock refuse work with HBK while they have the chance....Shawn buried the rock back in the day and same goes for Austin who got buried by Hogan. Rock also have ego, in one of interview Rock doesn't want to do anything with Shawn. but in case of Austin is different, Stunning Steve Austin was ready for main event run but got hold back by Hogan.
So Rock not wanting anything to do with the the head Kliq guy who also happens to be the biggest Dick in the history of Wrestling because rock has an Ego?
