Will the cell be "invisible" again
In so many recent matches the cell is only used for 1-2 bounces into it and then its as if it isnt even there,im not talking about evreyone in it bleeding to death but just makeing it work
Do a push to the cell and throw the steps on the opponent so he takes damage on his back from the cell and front from steps etc etc
Just dont treat it like it isnt even there,I hate it when commentators say "What a gruling hell in a cell match" as if it was abused to the death

I agree tbh, They've been awful at utilizing the cell as of late.

Re: Will the cell be "invisible again"
The best one I can recall in recent memory is the Cena / Punk / Del Rio match from last year's HiaC (I think). Punk and Del Rio love to throw their bodies into the cage or off of steps in a way that just makes it seem more violent.

Was it old school in the sense that people would be lawn-darted into the cage, or scraping someone's bloody forehead along the links? Not at all. But it still looked like they were getting beat up in there (Punk especially, I remember his back / arm being scratched up and turning red). As long as it looks like a dangerous place to be, that's the most I hope for in this day and age.

^ yes, i thought they used the Cell way more in that match, and mostly cause Punk wanted to make it utilized again. One can hope it will be the same in Cena vs Punk this year. THough overall that triple-threat match last year was poorly booked imo.

Re: Will the cell be "invisible again"
Oh it was booked stupidly, but I thought the guys did a great job of selling the danger of being 'caged in' a structure with two other violent dudes, even if the cage itself wasn't necessarily the greatest threat. Like I said, in a PG, bloodless-environment, the cage's utility is really diminished. I think they maximized the utility for what it is.

Re: Will the cell be "invisible again"
I really hope the pending Cena/Punk HIAC match utilizes the cage a lot and does the match some justice. The OP is very right in that all the recent Hell in a Cell's have basically been just...no DQ matches that happen to have a big cage over the ring...

I think this rivalry between Punk and Cena deserves a HIAC match that uses the cage and sets it apart from the lack lusted HIAC PPV matches of recent years. I think having them break out of the cell would be awesome, and add an element of surprise and unpredictability.

If anyone loves doing throwback stuff in his matches to pay tribute to the past, it's Punk.

In Punk we trust.

Re: Will the cell be "invisible again"
Of course it will be.

They use chairs and the steps in the cell more than the cell itself thesedays fpalm

If there is no blood the cell might as well not exist. What's the point of selling it as "Razer sharp" when there is no flesh wound. Hate to sound like a blood enthusiast but its true. The great cell is suppose to keep the contestants inside but the rules of pro wrestling already has it that any match must be kept within the proximity of the ring so what does it make of the cell?

"But its inside~!~". That might quite frustrate the people who are cluster phobic.

People actually enjoy watching grown men springing off the walls? Just accept the cell is dead.
