If there is no blood the cell might as well not exist. What's the point of selling it as "Razer sharp" when there is no flesh wound. Hate to sound like a blood enthusiast but its true. The great cell is suppose to keep the contestants inside but the rules of pro wrestling already has it that any match must be kept within the proximity of the ring so what does it make of the cell?
"But its inside~!~". That might quite frustrate the people who are cluster phobic.
People actually enjoy watching grown men springing off the walls? Just accept the cell is dead.

actually it was first made to avoid someone from running away/escaping the ring. Hell In A Cell does that, its a weapon itself which stops you from escaping it.
But tbh i kind of agree, HIAC is ruined for me. The springing of walls and stuff really doesn't sound that cool anymore, the no dq is what makes it interesting.

I was really hoping that the whole cell would have been retired with the end of an era match. The cell really was hurt when HHH pinned Jericho on the top back in 2002. Then, the final nail was when they increased the height and did away with an action on the top
I hope that the Mick Foley speech on monday has something to do with it "It doesn't matter how many days you had the championship, it's about the moments"
So I think CM Punk will try to create a moment in this match

I agree tbh, They've been awful at utilizing the cell as of late.
I agree with you. Unfortunately because of WWE's decision to go PG, their won't be any Cell matches like Taker vs Lesnar, HHH vs Michaels, or the 6 man hell in the cell. WWE will not air any blood on t'v anymore. So it's more like big bumps instead of blood. So the WWE superstars won't make any huge spots, or use any weapons on the head anymore, Not for a long time. Until this PG era blows over.. Which hopefully will end soon. So Batista can return, and wwe can think of better story lines. I'm hoping too much. As well as with Linda's Governer run, it's unlikely we'll see those types of matches soon.

Taker-Edge in 2008 was PG and it was my fave HIAC match of all time. PG, no blood, and it was that great for me to watch.
I remember Cena-Orton segment on Raw before HIAC. They both climbed to the top and attacked each other. Don't see why WWE couldn't have done that for an actual match. That moment was basically being like "we're not doing this on PPV,we just climbed up here to make you think we'll be doing this so you order the PPV"

I do agree with you. That was one of my fave HIAC matches I've seen in a while, the other being Taker vs HHH at last years Wrestlemania. In my opinion I just think blood adds more to the story.. Especially if it's a personal story being told. Like hhh/ orton, hhh/ taker, hhh/ hbk.

The concept were made moot when the 2nd ever HIAC started on top of the cell.
Not to mention the first one featured Shawn Michaels crashing through the announce table from up top as well.
These matches defined the Cell. It is meant to be violent. Thats what sells the match.
If you mean are we going to see anyone getting Mick Foley'd from the top... then I doubt we'll see anything that extreme again as far as Hell in a Cell goes, but I do agree, for something thats been personified as a dangerous and hellish PPV, it sure hasn't been given that impression over the last few years.
but maybe I'm being too nit picky
