Re: What's the deal with this PPV?

I liked it at first, but it's pure crap. Hell in a Cell and other gimmick matches are GOOD because they are to end some feud and only once in a while. This PPV just ruins it.

2 matches inside the cell.

I don't love John Cena, in fact I don't even like him. But I hate the idea that he is the worst! Cena doesn't bury talents. Talents go down the card after Cena because feuding with Cena... is the highlight of their career. Deal with it.

I agree. I liked it when they dusted off Hell in a Cell every 12-18 months for that BIG blow off special match. Now it's barely significant. I was hoping we'd see Foley-Punk in a Hell in a Cell when watching that dueling promo last night but... yeah, that's not happening I guess? Or is it. They have my $44 if they do that match.

I don't like it that much either. Like others have said, this philosophy of "Well, that's what the event is, so let's put them in HIAC," is just stupid. HIAC was used as like the ultimate decider of a feud. Now it looks like the WHC will have big show in the picture at HIAC and creative is attempting to create a feud that is worthy of it, but these feuds need more time to boil over to the point where one wrestler says, "I'm sick of your ass, let's finish this in the cage."

Re: What's the deal with this PPV?

Undertaker/HHH at WM was one of the best matches ever, don't know how you can call it a 'soft' match. Blood isn't everything.

Oh and btw, even though you could have easily searched this up on google and looked at articles on wikepedia, i'll be nice and tell you there is usually only two HIAC matches. The WHC and WWE Title match.

Seriously though, why would u want to see Punk against Mick Foley in a HIAC? There is only 5 weeks left and these two only just had their first promo. Also, Mick Foley is past it and wouldn't be able to put on an entertaining match, let alone a HIAC. A true wrestling fan would be hoping for the epic Cena/Punk feud to have a conclusion inside HIAC, but oh well.

Re: What's the deal with this PPV?

The HIAC ppv hurt the gimmick. When we heard "Hell in a Cell" it was such a huge deal! Having it as a regular ppv took that intense feeling from it. I'd stop having this ppv.

All these gimmick ppv's should be scrapped. Go back to no Way out, Judgement Day, Unforgiven, etc.

Re: What's the deal with this PPV?

Of all the gimmick PPVs,HIAC is really the only one that needs to go.

Elimination Chamber needs to be moved from February and placed somewhere else like May. Cause WM build usually starts before Elimination Chamber, so the winner for 1 or both of the matches becomes obvious.

Like when Orton-HHH were feuding, after Orton won the rumble, it was obvious that HHH would win the elimination chamber match since that was the title Orton would challenge for.

Re: What's the deal with this PPV?

HIAC as a gimmick for a PPV is terrible. It's supposed to be this extreme match that will be the definitive end to a feud, but then they go and decide that it will be done every year at a certain time. A perfect example of watering down your product.

Yeah the way they announced the HIAC match for WM earlier this year was old school and awesome. This just waters it down.
