Could Rock v Austin still sell a PPV?
Whilst online I always love watching the Rock Marks v SCSA Marks on who is the best or GOAT.
They wrestled at 3 WM and all 3 told a terrific story on what was in my opinion (starting from the intercontinental title) the greatest, most epic and most eye catching feud of all time... If the WWE went with a GOAT angle and both wrestlers did one more angle together do you think they could get the hype they had in the old days? I understand many don't want to see it as it was what it was and times have moved on. Personally as a mark for both I could not help but be interested in this happening. (although fully aware it never will) Do you think it would sell WM on a big scale? Or do you think it would be a lackluster representation of the past? Thoughts (if any :)) |

Ehh, depends on the build. I know for a fact that majority of the AE fans that stopped watching would at least be interested.

Ow easily, it would do over a million buys for a WrestleMania but I wouldn't want to see it.

Re: Could Rock v Austin still sell a PPV?
Two of the top 3 biggest wrestling stars of all time. They're still extremely popular and over within the wrestling world. They both can still work (presumably). It would sell the PPV for sure.

They would sellout tickets faster than the current roster combined, so I say there's a huge chance.

The Rock proved he can still go on the big stage and with all the hype behind Stone Cold having 'one more match' - it would do HUGE business.

Yes, but I would rather see both of them verse someone else like Punk vs Austin, Rock and Cena for example, we've seen them at WM 3 times I think they should let it rest there.

Re: Could Rock v Austin still sell a PPV?
in before RockAE316 gives a huge lecture about buys and PPV rates :lmao
but in a short answer yes they could sell a PPV but probably not beat their earlier sales in numbers as the company has changed a lot since. |
