I can't believe anyone on here would think Barrett has any chance of winning the Rumble. You really think he is going to go from being in the IC title feud to winning the Royal Rumble a month later? Barrett hasn't done anything significant for near enough 2 years and you have him as a Rumble contender? You must know things I don't be because in my opinion he isn't even in the top 15 of my list. Also he was never going to win MITB, he was never in line for a main event push, don't believe everything you read on the dirtsheets because it's 90% bullshit. I also can't believe people have said Undertaker because he is most certainly not winning it. A lot may disagree with me on that but hey whatever.
Now having got that out of the way here is my top 5 in decreasing order.
5. The Rock. He gets screwed out of the title at the rumble but then enters the match and wins to get revenge on CM Punk at Wrestlemania or go on to face John Cena in a rematch. (Giving a rumble win to someone not full time would be a waste in my opinion but it does give the option of The Rock not having to be on WWE tv as much while still being guranteed a match at Wrestlemania and can work on his movie schedule. Not ideal but a big possibility).

. CM Punk. This one is obvious, CM Punk loses the title at the rumble and then enters the match and goes on to win, he then faces The Rock at Wrestlemania or maybe a triple threat with him and John Cena. (This would be 2nd on my list if I didn't think the main event will be the WWE title match itself).
3. John Cena. It should be obvious that there is the scenario of The Rock defeating CM Punk, John Cena winning the rumble and going on to face The Rock at Wrestlemania in a rematch, very possible I think. (If Cena is not WWE champion by Rumble then what feud could he possibly in? That makes this a real possibility especially considering Cena is Cena.
2. Randy Orton. Randy Orton is on the verge of a character change. I can see him going on a losing streak and then finally snapping near the time of the rumble and turning heel (he has always had an unstable character) he then goes on to win the rumble. I know there are rumours of Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler dominating the world title scene early 2013 but this could mean that Randy wins the rumble and goes on to feud with Dolph Ziggler who will be face the champion in TRTW. The only other option is heel Randy Orton vs Sheamus.
1. Ryback. Ryback is hot at the moment, not to mention Vince McMahon loving him, he wont be part of the WWE title match at Royal Ruumble and considering his push this year it should be obvious to everyone that Ryback is the hot favourite to win the rumble. (I'm actually finding it hard to see past him tbh and i'm 70% sure he will win).
Honourable mentions go to a returning Mark Henry (unlikely but possible), Dolph Ziggler cashing in at rumble, losing but then going on to win the rumble itself (again unlikely but slightly possible), last but not least The Miz (we know he is turning face and looks like he is getting a push, very unlikely he will win the rumble but there is a slight chance).
