Cena beat himself pretty much tonight. But I'd say Punk's win at MITB was clean, yeah Cena was distracted a bit but was unhurt and looking in the right direction when he slid in the ring into the GTS.

Overall in their feud I still think Punk has the upper hand, but the clock has started it's countdown. The reign is coming to an end soon.
You need to brush up on your definition of clean, bro. He was distracted, it doesn't matter that he ran into the GTS, he had Punk in the STF and he had to break it up.

I guess you thought Orton beat Cena clean in the HIAC too even though Orton tapped out when the ref was down first.

Clean means no weapons, no distractions, no nothing. It's decisive. MITB was anything but.

Re: Official CM Punk vs. John Cena Discussion

i really hope that punk comes out tomorrow and calls out cena for not beating him. saying something along the lines of "u couldnt beat me at money in the bank, you couldnt beat me at the last two summerslams, you couldnt beat me at raw 1000, and u couldnt beat me in your own backyard last night. john it just might be time to realize that i am the best wrestler in the world. there is nothing shameful about being number 2"

Re: Official CM Punk vs. John Cena Discussion

I gotta ask, what were Punk's tights supposed to represent, Yankee's or White Sox?

Both make sense, White Sox because he is from Chicago, and Yankee's because of the remark he made to Cena last year about him being the Yankee's, the Franchise. Punk now believes he is the franchise of the WWE.

No major complains about Summerslam's finish but tonight was horrible. Summerslam makes sense, seeing as how it was a triple threat, which played into the finish.

But tonight, both men took a beating but kept coming back. Using countless finishers, escaping various submission finishes but the main event of a PPV ends in a draw?

They could have used a better "Dusty finish" than that, preferably 1 that allowed Punk to use his brains in either getting his shoulder up or in some other scenario, prevent the referee from seeing Cena's shoulder raise or foot under the rope.

Yankees. That was my first thought and then they confirmed it on commentary. Besides, as far as I know (keep in mind I don't follow sports, although if I did, it would be baseball), the White Sox and the Red Sox don't have a blood feud, the Red Sox and the Yankees definitely do.

You know, we honestly shouldn't be that surprised. This is the company that almost had their WM27 main event end in a double count out, for God's sake.

It was for Yankees, besides CM Punk from what I read doesn't like the Sox and is a huge Cubs fans.

Anyone else thinking Punk/Cena match was pointless?

It was an Okay match but was it really worth watching?

First of all, we got another sighting of SUPERRRRRRRRR CENAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!1!!11!!

Also they wrestled for about 26 minutes, submission maneuvers, GTSs, FUs, Rock Bottom...

But at the end, the match ended with a german suplex(whatever its called) and also a DRAW.

not to say the end of Punk's streak.

Yes I do enjoy alot of Cena fans raging and get mad, but was it really worth it?

Re: Anyone else thinking Punk/Cena match was pointless?

the match wasnt great at all....the crowd was quiet through most of it...only started getting loud when they kept kicking out of each other's finishers but what crowd wouldn't have? it was basically finisher after finisher after finisher....
