D. Nothing memorable so far. Rocks a shadow of his former self, and hence is rusty in the ring. Punk's stale at the moment, and is suffering from being over-exposed.
Voted Awesome due to lack of poll options, it wasn't FOTY material based on the work done but when I think of average I think of forgetable feuds which was was far away from. The matches were disappointing, but the promo buildup was very good, pretty intense heat between the two and the fact that it was between the two best wrestlers/entertainers doesn't warrant an average rating.

they both had chemistry in this feud, their characters fit with each other they blend in good, granted the match wasn't a 5 star wrestling match, but the feud itself was entertaining and was great

One of the few things recently that the WWE didn't fuck up.
From beginning to end it was well thought out, well performed, two characters that clearly established that they are completely different people with opposing ideologies (Rock loving the people and Punk thinking that they are worthless) and a story that was simple yet effective (Rock wanted the belt, Punk wanted to keep it)
Is it OMGZ ONE OF TEH BEST TINGS EVER!? no, but I applaud WWE, for one they had something great in their hands and didn't let it slip through their fingers like they do soooo many times e.g Rock V Cena, The Nexus etc
A little below average. The promos ranged from mediocre to decent, but the matches were the real problem. It's insulting to see a man who was champion for 440+ days get beaten by 1 sub-finishing move. The amount of restholds and general length of the matches also left much to be desired.

It was average. I stepped away from the forums during this time and Im glad I did. Every week was compelling and must watch to see what these two were going to do. And didn't have to endure mass amounts of bitching that Im sure the internet was doing. It was a fresh change up and I dont see how anyone want at least glad to see something new that had a big time feel again. Say what you want but I thought the two guys clashed well in terms of build up. I liked that Rock could do his usual thing but was able to turn it up and get serious at times. Yes he said jokes and silly things but he was able to get serious as well as hyping and build up the importance of Punk and the title. Of course people love to focus on the silly things and not look at everything but meh.
CM Punk really shined here despite what people say about him being "buried." Im so glad that they didnt have him recycle Cena's argument from the past year and didnt have Punk go on and on calling Rock DUWHAYNE!!. His im the best and cheap heat tirades were a little tiring but he looked good during the build. They did a good job knocking off the chicken shit heel bullshit.
They had comedy, they had seriousness, they had brawls. It really was a nice little feud. But the matches brought the feud to an average standpoint.
The matches were ok. Not stand out or anything special. Good selling and storytelling. Good action from Punk. Nice sports from both. Rock's lost a step (increased size, age and lack of true time preparation.) and yes he does get gassed but not as bad as people love to say and over exaggerate to. Liked that Rock got one more run with the belt for this short time and all though.
All in all, people are still sore on the rear end about Punk losing and the inevitable Cena run so its going to affect some judgement but whatever.
