There's no logic by WWE to let Rock win against its two biggest stars and win WWE title.
He may be a Hollywood actor but the WWE title holder must be present on Raw every Monday.
Fuk mainstream-What is everybody's obsession with mainstream?5 million people watch Raw on USA alone.It won't increase.I don't remember Rock vs Cena increasing viewers that much.If that feud can't increase it,nothing else will increase it in current day situations.

they could have taken the title main stream during summer of punk but they didn't have the balls to do it. Would've been the biggest angle in 7-10 years.

This was brought up before. It would be a good idea for a heel turn but the fans would cheer it.

There's alot of logic since he alone brought in the biggest buyrates to Mania season since Mayweather bailed them out in like 2008.

It didn't increase viewers because it became about John Cena and vilifying the Rock and no one wanted to watch that. Cena is despised and nothing can change that. Nothing.

Mainstream means more NEW viewers. Lets face it the proct is in decline and is constantly losing viewers. You need to replace the ones you lost. WWE is a business and if doesnt attract new viewers all the time it will eventually fail.

it would be illogical to have a SD win the rumble and not go for the WWE title , your a guy who just won the rumble , would you rather main event WM with The Rock or stuck in the opener against some random guy like del Rio or sheamus or ziggler ?

Too heelish. This would work if he was a heel, and doing his boss Hollywood character. Its perfect and tailor made for it. Wouldn't work now. The rage would be funny though.

I dont think it would have to be heelish. I think The Rock could pull it off as a face. Since The Monday Night wars we've always had a fighting Champion. It would be a change of pace to have a NON fighting champion again. Rock would defend every 4 months or so.
Now, being the #1 Contender would be challeng... Perhaps you would have to win A tournementt to get the right to face the Rock.
Bottom line, it would make tge title feel important again. It would make the mid card important again. It would make the tag division important again.
WWE needs more long term champions.
