True, because they built Punk's claim on the fact the he pinned Rock and won the match, so in that sense it was necessary. I just hoped they would find a better way around it. I think the story of the match leading to the EC was better than the Rumble because you have a determined Rock who wants to beat the guy who stole his title and Punk in a delusional role trying to get the DQ win. Unlike the Rumble when they built the main part of the match on the Shield attack from RAW. The added stipulation is weird here because of the way Vince allowed it, I hope they go for a clean finish this time. Maybe Vince changing the match on the PPV.

Rock in his peak was in excellent shape and extremely entertaining to watch in the ring. He was "jumpy" and that's what made him so fun to watch. He's more athletic than Punk, that's for sure. I still say Punk's a better in-ring worker than Rock ever was (and I just don't think that highly of Rock in the ring to begin with), which comes down to how well he paces a match, moves from sequence to sequence, and tells a story through his actions. The way I look at it is Rock's an entertainer who wrestles, where Punk's a wrestler who entertains. Rock's always going to be more fun to watch, and if fun=better for you, then that's cool if you say Rock's better. Some people like to delve deeper than that into a match and that's where Punk shines over Rock.
