I don't get how you can be happy that they didn't have Punk getting a DQ victory in that situation as that's the only outcome that makes sense with that stipulation. As it was now Punk was basically playing the role of a face as he "won" cleanly, despite having an easy chance to win dirty, but the ref was out so he got screwed.
I think that the logical way to not want the DQ win is to not have that stipulation going. It makes no sense whatsoever to have that stipulation and the heel not even trying to take proper advantage of it.
It didn't even do anything to make The Rock get a greater victory either. If Punk had tried to have people attack him and The Rock had constantly managed to attack them before they could do anything it would have been a little heroic (although it's easy to do it so Rock doesn't have a chance to prevent it). Now he's just kind of an illegitimate champ.
