1. You can't leave you biggest title of your programming for 2 months, especially in the road to wrestlemania.
2. The Cena-belt makes money, so it won't change soon.
3. There are only 4 major PPV's, which means it's defended only 4 times a year. The WWE Championship would be irrelevant.

The Rock should get the Hogan treatment and a long title reign.

WWE can barely write storylines without a Championship belt. Over what are the main eventers going to feud. Raw is already 2 hours of filler, take the WWE Championship away and it would be complete shit.

I see what you are saying but i disagree. I believe that with the absense of the wwe title it would force the writers to do something more interesting with the other titles. Thereby making them even more important.

The IC title and Tag Titles were MOST important when Hogan held the World title because he rarely defended it.
