I wouldn't even bother.

I wouldn't be surprised if he thinks it was a **** match.

I never said Rock is the same worker he was at his peak, nobody can be after over a decade out of the ring with only two matches a year. What I'm saying is that people need to take it in perspective and can't compare a Rock 2000 performance where he's going full speed with Angle for 25 minutes, to a special attraction match he has once a year. Of course he's slower, he's not 27 anymore. But he can still put on exciting matches, to perform great exchanges, to create drama and to make people invest their emotion in it. I have seen Rock's matches with Cena and Punk getting praises from every type of fanbase, from casuals to old school fans. I thought they were both great matches. To go out there in a WM main event after over a decade out of the ring and put on a 30 minutes match is unheard of. That alone deserves a lot of credit.

I'm not the biggest ROCK fan out there and certainly not a Punk fan, but I really enjoyed their RR match. ★★★. It's not exactly impossible to enjoy it. I may need to rewatch it at some point but I do recall thinking that both men did their thing and only really hated the Shield's interference and the restart.

Both matches have been great, got great reviews from every type of fanbase and people enjoyed them which is what's really important. Take it in perspective, Rock put on over 50 minutes of work in two matches after over a decade, that's ridiculous. Breathing heavily was always part of Rock's selling BTW, especially if it's on the ribs.
Haha. Funny post.

I thought the GTS/Sharpshooter/Vice and the Rock Bottom/rollup/Sharpshooter exchanges were awesome and smooth. The Shield ending was unnecessary but they ended strong and it got a big reaction when Vince restarted the match. That was probably their intention.

You may have thought they were good matches, but I really didn't. IMO both of his matches with Cena and Punk was not really good. Sure, you may like them, more power to you. I just think that Rock's noticeable size and in-ring rust is showing a lot and it's hindering the matches, that's all.

It's understandable that he'll be slower than he was a decade ago, I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying that I think he should at least work on his cardio or at least try to work through his gassed state in the matches. When he's laying around and breathing heavy it's take away from the match IMO.

You all may make fun of people with "IT'S STILL REAL TO ME DAMN IT!" for the young kids or marks or whatever, but you guys are even worse than them. You have this deep-seeded legitimate rage for Cena and his fans to the point where you let it affect your day to day life.

Grow up. Seriously.

The Shield swerve finish was quite necessary in my eyes. Punk needed to fully develop into a delusional heel and a heel always needs a basis to believe they are correct. This served its purpose. It also fleshes out the storyline for the rematch, on both sides. Rock wants to beat Punk 100% clean and sure to prove to the world and Punk that he is the champion, Punk believes he is rightfully the champion. Also, The Shield need to build as many appearances as they can since they are hardly wrestling.

True, because they built Punk's claim on the fact the he pinned Rock and won the match, so in that sense it was necessary. I just hoped they would find a better way around it. I think the story of the match leading to the EC was better than the Rumble because you have a determined Rock who wants to beat the guy who stole his title and Punk in a delusional role trying to get the DQ win. Unlike the Rumble when they built the main part of the match on the Shield attack from RAW. The added stipulation is weird here because of the way Vince allowed it, I hope they go for a clean finish this time. Maybe Vince changing the match on the PPV.

Rock316AE is right when he says at his peak, the rock was a smoother and quicker wrestler than CM Punk.
