Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
I loved his promo at Mania 27 purely because I was there for it and it was my first time seeing him live. It was corny and a bit goofy but holy shit did I and everybody else eat that shit right up and join in lol. WRESTLE..MANIA..WRESTLE..MANIA!!

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
You're lucky as fuck to have had the chance to go, truly a once in a lifetime experience. 29 is going to be even bigger though, whoever gets to go is a lucky son of a bitch

That was the general consensus from what I've seen lol. Absolutely epic live for the crowd, but not that suited for a TV audience. I found it to be enjoyable enough when I saw it.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
Been to 25 through 28 and this years was definitely the best of the bunch. I couldn't have asked for 2 bigger matches heading in. To take part in and experience a live Rock promo at 27 was awesome too. That and HHH/Taker were the only 2 parts of that damn show (27) that made me feel like it was worth it to spend all that money lol.

Actually StarBuck, how much better was Rock/Cena and Triple H/Undertaker(top two of my matches for WM 28, hated Punk/Y2J) live? I can only imagine the atmosphere adding insanely to the match.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
I agree with the Survivor Series promo being one of if not the best promo from Rock since he returned. Just a good old school fun promo to hype up the crowd, no Phil or Dwayne or wrist notes or any of that bullshit we got during the RTWM

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
HHH/Taker is without a doubt the best live match experience I've ever had. Orton mentions it in one of the little video packages they did afterwards, about how the crowd was just that little bit different for the HIAC and he's spot on. From start to finish there was just a real and tangible buzz around the stadium. You could actually feel it. Don't get me wrong, Rock/Cena had a great atmosphere too and the finishing stretch was insanity (legit thought there was going to be a mass riot when Cena started the people's elbow lol) but the HIAC, I can't even describe it lol. You just had to be there.
As a live experience, Punk/Jericho pretty much sucked tbh because everybody was still recovering from the HIAC. That alone should tell you how draining HHH/Taker was. It took the entire HOF thing, the GM tag match and then practically all of Jericho/Punk for the fans to get their energy back lol. I had to watch the match over again because I honestly had no fucking clue what was even happening for the most part as I was still dead.
Rock/Cena as a live experience was unreal. As a match just watching back on DVD, it doesn't really capture the magic as much as being in the stadium did imo. The HIAC holds up just fine though and as a live experience, like I said, I've never been so on edge during a WWE event before. It was just crazy.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
Nice, would be great to see a new title that doesn't have a Cena aura around it no matter who carries it. Rock debuting it would be BOSS because there is no way he would carry Cena's belt around. But Punk debuting it would make a little more sense because he's this generations star.

His promo when he first returned was great when he verbally destroyed Cena as was the promo the night after Mania 28.
'The Rock will one day walk down that aisle, as the jabroni beating, pie eating, trailblazing, eyebrow raising, one vision in mind, don't need no revamping, The Rocks going to be WWE Champion'

Fucking April 2nd promo was unreal! I loved it. "The Rock's gonna be..... WWE CHAMPION."
Def top three along with the aforementioned return promo and SS 2011 promo. Like Starbuck, I did enjoy the WM27 promo as well. I enjoyed all of Rock's antics that night tbh, especially his segment with Mae/Eve/Austin.
