Yup. Cena would kill to get this reaction against any legend. The crowd went 50/50 at some moments. That was truly epic.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
We are about to witness one of the worst title reigns in history. And I am a Rock fan.
He's part time. He's probably going to wrestle at Elimination Chamber in which he'll probably come out last so he doesn't have to do much, so he doesn't get gassed. He'll end up winning, probably by pinning Punk again. That will end up being Punks rematch clause. He'll then lose it to Cena at Mania, a person who can't even beat CM Punk.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
How many people were disappointed with the fued and match, even if you wanted The Rock to win?
It was a shitty PPV overall imo until the last 2 minutes of the Rock match (after the match was restarted (basically as soon as The Rock started going on offense). But that match and fued was billed so vastly in favor of putting Punk over that the payoff wasn't even exciting because of it. It was just like oh okay, great, but I wish they booked that a hell of a lot better and differently than they did.
Outcome: good.
Practically the entire build and most of the match: Shit, because it was too focused on putting Punk over.
Entertainment value was really lacking because of it. Match was like 85-90% Punk offense. Awful. After the incredibly boring 400+ day CM Punk title reign, I wanted to see him get his ass kicked when he lost the title. Instead, they spent most of the fued putting him over. VERY shitty and disappointing payoff. His reign absolutely should not have been remotely as close to as long as it was if this was all they were ever going to do at the end of it. Such an epic waste of time and resources.

Jobbed?
He put him over. He made The Rock that new star. Sure, The Rock was big before that match but beating Hulk Hogan in front of a sell out crowd at fucking WRESTLEMANIA!?
Don't worry though. The Rock will be doing the EXACT same thing with Cena, this time though handing him the WWE Title in the process. Oh what a night that will be.

Cheer against the motherfucking Rock. That's fucking amazing. Never in my life I'd expect to see that. Cena must be a sad panda right about now.
It's crazy how the WWE did everything to convince us that the "Universe" was 50/50 on Cena/Rock last year, and Punk gets that reaction as a Heel.

If anybody was to beat Punk, I say Rock was the man to do it. I wonder how Rocks reign will be like till Wrestlemania. Oh and his Chamber defense will be interesting.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
Is anybody really surprised? Especially after The Shield's interference in the match, we all knew The Rock was going to win... The bad thing is that Trish and Lita could have put on a better match, granted CM Punk is still likely legitimately hurt (notice the bandaging on his knee before the match), but there is no excuse for The Rock to be that terrible in the ring... Mind you, this match was decided when Cena predictable won the Rumble... Is it not enough that The Rock and Cena are telling us they are guaranteed to win their matches, then going ahead and doing so ? It's almost like a slap in the face with predictability. And now what? CM Punk is gonna feud with who? The Shield? They could've made a great stable with Punk at the head of The Shield, but instead they keep avoiding it like the fucking plague. It really doesn't matter who they put up against Punk at Mania, it will be a predictable loss for him. If he's in the WWE Title match, he's obviously not going to get the belt back.. It would have made more sense for him to be the Champion all the way until WM then drop it to Cena there, at least Cena could beat the Rock and Punk could complain about not actually losing and carry on another feud (as boring as that may sound, the booking would atleast be logical and 5x better). If Punk faces Taker, there is NO WAY Taker is gonna have his streak ended by Punk... He doesn't really have enough time to start a feud with Lesnar, and I highly doubt that Stone Cold is going to lace up the boots one last time, although out of all the matches available that would probably be the best one.

434 days. The greatest reign in the history of professional wrestling. Nobody will forget it.
