There's going to be a lot of crying Punk marks in a little bit. I bet you they'll throw a bigger tantrum then Cena's 8 year old fan base did.

It's obvious what's going to happen. Rock wins. Cena wins the Rumble. Cena beats Rock at WM 29. This was set up even before last year's WrestleMania.

I have a feeling WWE will make CM Punk win because a Rock win would be too predictable for the fans. Same thing happened last year with Jericho, apprantly. WWE thought it would have been too predictable if he won the RR which is why they gave it to Sheamus at the end.

The point of y2j winning was so he would face punk at WM (it still happened)

I think Sheamus winning was always the plan. Jericho was there just to confuse the fans.

I love both Punk and Rock, and I am all for Punk retaining BUT if he retains then who will he drop the title to? Rock is the only superstar credible enough to end this long reign. Imagine if Punk retains against the rock and loses to Ryback or Cena.. that would be a stupid ending to a good title reign. On the other hand when/if Rock beats Punk for the title it would make sense and Punk will not look weak at all.

With Punk and Rock's feud and its build, the only good outcome would be Rock winning the title. I understand people here wanting Punk to retain, but I dont see a big picture with that scenario.

Hopefully Rock wins it this sunday.

Pretty much. The only way Rock was losing was if it was to set up something else (Brock Lesnar).

Since we know that's not happening we know the outcome of the Rumble.

I agree with what you said. I saw a comment on here this week that suggested Punk should retain at the RR and lose it in the chamber match because at least he doesn't look weak defending it against 5 other wrestlers. I disagree with that because why should Punk lose it in a low name PPV like the EC? The Royal rumble is one of the big four PPVs so it's better to have him lose in the big stage instead of losing at the EC. Secondly, if Punk beats Rock tomorrow then he should main event Wrestlemania. I don't see the point in him losing it at EC because that's just one PPV before WM. Make him survive another PPV (if he beats Rock) and then lose it at WM. Personally, I would have Rock win tomorrow and then lose it at the EC. More people would be interested in the Elimination chamber PPV if they saw Rock defending the title. Also, a Punk loss doesn't bury Punk at all. He is already established. His current reign is one of the longest reign in history so I don't see why he needs to beat the Rock to cement his legacy. His legacy is the +400 days title reign IMO.
