Because a Cena/Rock rematch at WrestleMania is money. Especially if you raise the stakes and put the WWE Championship on the line this time around. I've believed from the beginning that the endgame has been to have Cena defeat Rock. Rock won at WrestleMania XXVIII, so Cena has to win at WrestleMania XXIX. And it should happen at a WrestleMania because having it happen on any other PPV would be very anti-climactic.

Rock/Cena has run it's course. It certainly won't happen at the Rumble (just after key sales time for the DVD, Christmas). Punk/Rock at the Rumble is 99.95% set in stone in my opinion. What happens at WM is anybody's guess.

There are such things as rematches and just because they may have a re-match, doesn't mean that the match will be on as big a stage as the first one was. When Hogan vs Andre was built for Wrestlemania 3, it was built as the biggest match ever at the time. They had a re-match almost a year later, but it wasn't as big as their first encounter.

And I'm glad it happens this way, because I hate the idea of Punk beating The Rock.
It hasn't happened any way yet. To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if this was the way it would pan out, but hopefully I'll have bailed by then and won't be a part of it.

its smart play for him business side. They could do Punk vs Cena vs Rock too but I believe it will be Cena vs Rock II. The ONLY way you see Punk vs Rock at WM 29 is if Cena takes on The Undertaker, they might be saving that for WM 30 (most likely Undertaker's last match depending what happens with Lesnar)

Hogan was not the face of the company when Rock beat him twice, Rock was closer to that himself, even though he was just about done.

The reasons Cena vs Rock 2 will happen:

Rock is wrestling at WM 29

Cena "needs" (he doesn't) his win back on Rock, because he's the face of the WWE and nobody can ever look better than him, for any reason.

Vince doesn't want Punk facing Rock at WrestleMania, which is stupid and childish, because WM 29 will get as many buys as WM 28 if Rock is wrestling and it's built up, and Cena gets a fresher opponent to boot. I wouldn't be surprised if less people bought WM 29 just because Rock vs Cena already happened and the people got the result they WANTED the first time. With this one, everybody knows for a fact Cena's winning.

if they do that , can they be accused of false advertising ? they did say it was ONCE in a lifetime

so what's gonna be the motto for the next one , "Twice in a lifetime , this time we mean it" ? hell maybe they'll add a third match to be the rubber breaker , then what will they call it .. "the Conclusion of the Saga , no seriously guys this is the last one we promise" ?

Hey, nothing is holding you back from quitting right now! I've pretty much bailed out for the past few months. Although I will return just for The Rock when it's RTWM time.

Yeah, Cena was the face of the company at WM28. And guess what, the Rock beat him!

I'm not saying this won't happen, but nobody knows for sure, and I'll be disgusted if it does and won't watching it considering I dislike John Cena and everything he stands for, and also think it's totally unfair that a guy who appears a handful of dates and wrestles 2 matches a year steals the spotlight once again from the true stars that have been working their ass off all year.

I heard that Vince himself is pushing for the "Twice in a Lifetime" match because he believes it will push the buy rate of WM like last year , although I think the match itself wasn't that amazing or at least didn't live up to the hype.
