Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

Quote:
- WWE Champion CM Punk recently spoke with The Sun in the UK. Here are some highlights from the interview that took place before Night of Champions:

Wrestling The Rock:
"Anybody that doesnít want to wrestle The Rock is pretty foolish. Heís not around a lot, so to get an opportunity to wrestle him, itís a slim chance. I might have a shot at him at the Royal Rumble if I get past John Cena, and that right now is my goal. The Rumble is a while away, but hopefully I stay the champ until then."

Getting pissed off at The Rock's return:
"Rock being back, I guess, puts a lot of eyes on our product. In that respect itís a good thing. I have a lot of pride in what I do, and Iím proud of the WWE, and their superstars and divas that are on the road 365 days a year. Itís a very cold business, itís a very Ďwhat have you done for me lately?í business. When somebody walks in and gets afforded opportunities that people are in line for and people are busting their ass for, youíre damn right Iím going to get pissed off about it. Itís only logical; it isnít sour grapes. It isnít whining. Itís a fact. I said it, I was vocal about it. I said it to his face. Thatís just the kind of guy I am. Listen, if I disappear for 5-8 years and I come back, I only hope there is someone as angry and as hungry, with a chip on their shoulder, just like me, to tell me the same thing: ĎHey, I can do everything youíre doing, and Iím doing it every day.í I donít hate The Rock, I donít hate Dwayne. There honestly arenít any hard feelings, thereís nothing anything personal. It has motivated me to work harder and to prove everybody wrong. Thatís what I do."

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

At least Punk admits that facing Rock is def something any superstar should want to accomplish. Including himself.

Cena Rock II - Why is everyone so certain it will be at WM29?

So much speculation of Cena Punk II taking place, which isn't even confirmed, and why are people so certain that if it does take place then it'll be at wrestlemania. If it did happen then what was with all that once in a lifetime shit?

Why can't Punk drop the title to Cena at some point and we'll have Cena Rock II at the Rumble for the title. Meanwhile Punk wins the Royal Rumble and we have Punk Rock at wrestlemania for the title. Everyone seems to be convinced that the opposite will happen. Why is that?

Because there's no way they want Rock beat Cena twice. It's almost certain Rock will win the title at RR so that means if Cena's champ, he's going to lose.

The Rock beat Hogan twice. And I would hate to be watching a Wrestlemania main event being certain of who is going to win. I don't really like either of them to be honest. But we'll see how it all pans out.

Yes, I have noticed. It's all about the money these days, less about the quality of the product and the integrity the industry. That's why I'm considering taking an indefinite vacation from WWE.
