Since he returned to in-ring action 1 year ago, he has not lost a match. He's been literally unbeatable.

A lot of these newer, younger fans have never seen him lose.

Should his first loss come against CM Punk at the Royal Rumble? It's better if he loses at Wrestlemania.

His Armageddon 99 ovation is bigger than all 5 of those.

You can barely hear Finkel when he comes out.

that doesn't matter really, you can still hear the crowd, in all five of those the crowd somewhat dwarf the pop, espicially in the first one you can't even hear the crowd when the rock stands on the stands on the ropes and smells the air.

he was advertised for the 25th. Today WWE and local officials at AA arena removed him from appearing and is no longer advertised for the Dallas show on the 25th

WWE part-time star The Rock revealed why re-capturing the WWE Title is important to him in a new interview with WWE Magazine. It's a statement that has been missing from WWE television leading up to the Royal Rumble PPV.

"It starts with recognizing what the WWE Championship represents to me," Rock said in the February 2013 issue. "Every time I hold that title over my head in victory, it not only signifies the fact that I have delivered the absolute best entertainment that I could to the WWE Universe, but that I'm taking a moment to live an experience that all the generations of wrestlers in my family strived to achieve.

Rock continued, "There is no other award that I could receive that's as deeply ingrained in my blood and history as the WWE Championship - and that's why it means so much to me."

At the same time, Rock said that after his first WWE Title reign - which came in 1998 - he decided that he would never allow his possession of or lack of the WWE Title define his career.

"After my first WWE Championship run came to an end, I made a conscious decision that night that I would work harder than any other Superstar in the locker room to become the type of WWE entertainer who, if I never had another championship run again, it would not define my career. I never wanted to rely on a title run for success."

Rock's next statement reflects his recent approach to mixing "entertainment" with "seriousness." Rock concluded, "My goal was to get to a place where I relied only on what I could bring to the table in terms of being entertaining and having a one-of-a-kind - and electrifying - connection with all of the WWE Universe."

[ FYI: Rock's interview is part of a cover-feature on Rock in the latest WWE Magazine. ]

Just like how HBK did it. Nice words right there.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread

Suprised no ones brought this up, Rock/Punk won't be the main event, the Rumble will likely go on last

Quote:
One of the big questions for the Royal Rumble that could determine outcomes of the big matches is which match goes on last - C.M. Punk vs. The Rock for the WWE Title or the Rumble match, itself.

Right now, the Rumble PPV script calls for Punk-Rock in the semi-main event slot and the Rumble match going on last, according to the Wrestling Observer. This is subject to change if WWE changes their minds next week.
Make of that what you will, it re-opens the possibility of either or Rock or Punk making entering the Rumble (Ie the loser of the match goes onto to win the Rumble).

I would like the royal rumble to go on last tbh.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread

If Rock is winning then I can't see the Rumble match going last. Unless Austin himself returns and wins it then whoever it is is gonna be completely outshone by Rock becoming champion. Punk retaining on the other hand and it makes sense to finish the PPV on a high note (the Rumble winner celebrating). Basically Rock winning the title is a bigger moment than just about anyone on the roster winning the Rumble, including Cena.

I mean really, Rock wins the WWE title for the first time in 11 years and they say oh, forget about that now cause we've got the Rumble match? Not gonna happen. If that supposed script is legitimate (it probably isn't) then Punk is winning, no doubt. Rock isn't gonna win the title in the middle of the card.

IT WAS JUST BANTER

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread

What I'm afraid the most is Cena winning the Rumble at beating the Rock at Wrestlemania, and after the match, Rock shaking hands with Cena and lifting his hands up. That would be the worst scenario ever, but I can defintiely see it happen.
Thank you Vince.
