So how do we think he beats Punk?

Rock bottom, people's elbow or sharpshooter?

Maybe similiar to Mania with Punk taunting Rock and then a Rock Botton out of nowhere. No Peoples Elbow or Sharpshooter, that would most likely hurt Punks credibility too much.

Yeah possibly but think they may wanna do something different.

The Peoples Elbow put away big stars in the past, so it wouldn't hurt Punk at all IMO.

Not sure about the Sharpshooter, I'm sure Rocky316 will be able to tell us who hes made tap to it, can't remember tbh.

Rock pinned Hogan @ WMX8 after a People's Elbow

Rock made Kurt Angle tap out to Sharpshooter, when he eliminated him in The Winner Takes All match at Svs 2001

Hogan, Austin, Angle, Jericho, Booker etc all tapped to Rock's Sharpshooter. I think the best way to end the Rumble match is a clean, old school Rock Bottom/People's Elbow combination, 1999 style.

He hit Hogan with two Rock Bottoms first before finishing with the Peoples Elbow.

As far as SvS goes, Angle was the traitor of the Alliance and the Sharpshooter was just an excuse for him to be eliminated.

Hogan and Y2J for example only tapped when the ref was KOed and they wanted Rock to break the hold. At least that's how I see it.

Tapping for me is only when it results in losing the match. And I'm not sure if that has ever been the case in a Rock match. Rock316AE?

I don't think it makes a difference if it's the end of the match because in most cases, the story they're telling is that they're tapping and giving up but the ref is down. Which means that they know they're losing but the ref bump saved them by accident.

Anyway, two matches I remember on the spot are Rock/Regal in November 2001 and Rock/RVD vs Jericho/? January 2002. Both of them ends with the Sharpshooter.
