Not sure about the comparisons, but his pops have been getting loud again recently.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
True that it happened before but that was a different company, EC simply doesn't deserve a momentous moment like Rock winning the WWE Championship after over a decade. WM16 is still a huge mistake IMO and tarnished the legacy of that PPV forever. There's a time and a place for everything, this is not the time for a swerve.
Plus with this line coming from a babyface like Rock:
"Fact: You ain't God. But God as my witness, in 13 days I WILL beat you for the WWE Title".
It's basically another confirmation.

I liked that line, great delivery, when Rock turns it on and becomes serious he is great. I "believed" him when he said that.

How is Cena going to be the only one who comes out of this looking good. The Rock will always look good, whether he loses or not, and CM Punk wrestled one of the biggest names in wrestling. If he wins, then it would put Punk over tremendously, if he loses well he'll still have his year long title reign, and the fact he faced Rock. As for Cena winning, I think it has the opposite effect. Nobody really cares about Cena/Rock II, and after he wins it'll be just like Cena/Lesnar. The light will still be shining on Lesnar, while Cena just carries on doing the same thing.

Not you... I was referring to those muppets, HEELKris and Hawksea. I know we disagree on most things, but I know you're not a troll and can recognise that Punk is talented. Those two, on the other hand...

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
I wouldn't take what anyone says on the show that's in the line of a prediction, as a confirmation of anything.
I am certain though that Rock will walk out of RR with the WWE Title and go on to face Cena at Mania. With Cena looking super strong again, they're obviously building him up (like he really needs the build up ) for his big victory over Rock and regaining the title after a year and a half without it. Plus I think WWE realizes, unless they wanted to make Taker vs. Punk as big a match as possible by having the 20-0 streak against the 500+ day title reign, Taker/Punk will be fine without the title, and they can sell Wrestlemania off two rematches in Rock/Cena and Lesnar/HHH anyway.
If we're lucky, what Rock316AE said about Rock losing the title at EC due to Lesnar is the best case scenario for Wrestlemania. I suppose Cena would win the title at that event, and face Ryback or Sheamus for the title (I'd prefer Ryback) and put them over as the top face of the company. Taker faces Punk, and that's that. That I think is the best case scenario from what I think WWE may do, as I really don't believe they're gonna have Punk retain the title against Rock.

If they wait til EC to give Rock the championship I think it's going to have a negative effect on the Triple H/ Lesnar, Punk Taker storylines.
Those programs are going to need a build to them as well. I imagine that after Punk loses his title to Rock he's going to demand a 1-1 rematch with Rock and when that's not granted Heyman is bring Lesnar back to punish Triple H.
In regards to Punk Taker there's a stall in the program because you have to deal with the rematch clause. Punk pretty much has to be finished with the title scene by Elimination Chamber.
We can not want these matchups all we want but they're going to happen.

I don't think anyone really wants to see Punk and Undertaker at Wrestlemania because Punk can't pull out the type of matches Shawn Michaels & Triple H have to past four years.
