Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
You guys aren't realizing that WWE is booking these rematches because they can't think of anything else. It's the easiest route for them to go since they lack creativity.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
how is it ok for them to do Rock vs Punk III ( they will likely be the last two guys inside the Chamber; unless they swerve and have it be Rock vs Ryback as last two) for Mania 3 times a row, but Rock vs Cena II (which happened 1 year ago) is "made from hades and is evil yo"

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
To be honest, if the WWE are thinking of booking Brock Lesnar vs The The Rock in a rematch at WrestleMania 29, than it shouldn't be for the WWE title. The Rock vs Brock Lesnar is much bigger than the WWE title which is why a WWE title defense between them is pointless. That match with or without the WWE championship on the line will gain a lot of interest from the fans.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
Because the Rock vs. Cena feud was utter shit for the most part and nobody wants to see that again, would be my guess.
I still want Rock-Lesnar at Mania though.

Because Rock and Cena have no chemstry and their feud last year sucked and Rock/Punk actually do have chemistry.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
but the WWE Championship involved it doesn't mean the feud can't be better than it was last year. Surely with that involved it can't be just "Dwayne I am here everyday" and "Fruity Pebbles trash, you suck" BS.

They won't be getting that many for the rematch, that's for sure.

That's not my fault or my problem. They saw the inevitable coming and ignored the fact that Taker, HHH, HBK, Edge, Batista, Jericho (and now Cena and maybe even Orton) aren't going to be there forever and would probably leave (on their own or not). Now they have the problem of bringing in part time old stars to make the Mania show look at least somewhat interesting but they'll be gone and they'll get a year older if brought back again. Quit fucking around and start getting your shit together because the honest truth is you're not competing against a promotion, company, or sport anymore. You're competing against your relevancy. Yourself.

I love that argument. It's so ass-backwards it.. still doesn't make sense.
Was it 1.3M for Rock/Cena, or 1.3M for WRESTLEMANIA featuring Rock/Cena, HHH/Taker, etc. ??
They'd do a similar number for any Rock match at Mania, co-headlined by Brock, Taker, Trips.

The Rock vs John Cena was the main attraction of WrestleMania 28 and was also announced a year in advanced. So yes, Rock vs Cena should mainly get credit for the 1.3 million PPV buys for WrestleMania 28. Just like how Hogan vs Rock gets credit for the WrestleMania X-8 buyrates and rightfully so.

Exactly, and Rock vs Cena did just that. I agree.
