Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
Cena/Rock II will not bring in the money like it did the first time.
Nobody wants to see it again.

Cena/Rock: Saw it. It was good, but not great. No memorable moments. Especially no Wrestlemania moment. That match gets way overrated. It doesn't touch Hogan/Warrior at 6, Bret/Austin at 13, Austin/HBK at 14, Austin/Rock at 17, Rock/Hogan at 18, HHH/Cena at 22, HBK/Flair at 24, HBK/Taker at 25 & 26, or HHH/Taker at 28. Still think Cena should have won it but whatever, it happened. It's over. Move on.
HHH/Lesnar: Fuck no. That match at Summerslam was slow, boring, and uninspired. After the weak build that led up to it, it needed a brawl, a pure fight to display the hatred. That was nowhere to be found. Although Lesnar got the win, what does it really matter if this match happens? How does it make sense. Lesnar has been gone and not seen since so the momentum Lesnar might have had is gone and HHH doesn't need the match or the win.
Punk/Taker: This one infuriates me the most because Punk can't win. Punk won't win. This Wrestlemania should be a culmination of the CM Punk journey that started at MITB in 2011 and what propelled it at RAW 1000. That simply is him vs. Rock for the WWE title. This match with Taker won't do him any favors. Yes, he'll look good and it'll make him more over I guess but it won't main event Mania. Punk won't win. And I've seen this match and feud in 2009. As much of a big fan as I am for Taker and Punk, it was bad. Their HIAC match in 2009 was bad and their Breaking Point match that same year wasn't any better.
Sheamus/Ziggler: As if Ziggler, who's already been built as a non-factor anyways no matter how much that TLC win last month masquerades it, is going to be Sheamus at a Wrestlemania to keep or win the title.
So Cena wins, Sheamus wins, HHH wins, and Taker wins at Mania. Same. Old. Shit.

it is actually Sheamus vs Heel Orton for the WHC, is what they are planning to do.
IMO if this card happens than you can it will be because of Hunter's ego and Vince need for his son in law to get revenge. I like Hunter but I hope he is smart enough to know this re-match is not needed and much bigger draw in Brock/Taker is the way to go. Punk can be inserted with Cena/Rock or have a match with HHH himself.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
I dont mind Punk V Taker as its two of my favourites of all time going at it and it will be a great match.
Also because of how established the streak is now because of the HBK/HHH series, Punk's stardom and credibility will be immediately elevated going toe to toe with the deadman at WM. kayfaybe wise the streak is above everything else and will most likely be promoted ahead of Lesnar V HHH II and the WHC.
Punk will be spotlighted at WM.

Orton doesn't have much a rub to give at this point and doesn't look like he even gives a damn.

Who is gonna buy Wrestlemania for that match brah?

Looks to me like the perfect booking without having to worry about the belt after Mania. Rock is going over at the Rumble either way, it's just the question of EC/WM/Lesnar/Cena afterward.

Bro we are about to be very disappointed, seems like Rocky will win at EC and lost is to Cena at Mania. This is the worst way to book Rock, why not have Cena get his win back at 1 of the other 3 big PPV? If there is no Rock/Brock then Mania will be a waste and predictable and boring

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
If it's Sheamus/Orton, it shortchanges Ziggler and his MITB contract. If Sheamus wins the title, he'll hold it for a bit. If it's Orton as a heel, he's not losing it till Summerslam at the earliest. IF Ryback wins and captures it, he ain't losing it for a while either.
That's why I include Dolph.
And you're blind if you think Punk/Taker gets more promotional time than that snorefest of HHH/Lesnar II or Rock/Cena II.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
Sheamus/Orton sounds like the most boring feud since any other feud those guys have been involved in over the past couple of years.
I like the idea of Punk/Taker and Brock/HHH, but they wouldn't be my first choice. I'd rather have Punk/HHH and Brock/Taker, or Brock/Rock, Punk/Rock. Although I'll gladly take those matches over almost everything from the past 4 Manias.
I'm dreading Rock/Cena 2; mostly the build, and the match.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
So Punk beats Rock at RR, and Taker at WM? Ok, I guess.

Anyone who thinks Rock/Cena II would sell more than Rock/Brock II is a moron, seriously.
