If you're destroying people on the mic, then you're NOT doing your job. Rock was great with those people because they worked together. There were no BERRIEZ, it was all a joint effort.

You're dead wrong. The Rock's fanbase expect him to talk a certain way. He destroyed them when they tried to undercut him and play the jealousy card, which is what most of the material that was used against him in his prime, over how charismatic and how much the fans liked chanting his name and shit like that. But when it was time to put over the WWF title or to have an Icon match? He made it important..when the WCW didn't mean jack shit when Booker T brought it over and he won it and did the promo on the LIVE Smackdown after 9/11 in Houston, he said something simple after the comedy "This belt means everything to the Rock" and the crowd INSTANTLY didn't let him speak and chanted his name because they KNEW that was a real ass statement that was beyond the in ring interaction with Statiask and Stacy.

And HHH tried his best to bury the Rock in 2000 on the mic at several points. He basically would say stuff like Punk is today about how his schtick and how fans react to it. When he would say that, the crowd would go completely dead and would no sell him like he wasn't out there. Basically the same thing we saw on Monday night. The Rock is the Rock. CM Punk can be as serious as he wants but he doesn't dictate the way the Rock talks or interacts. That's not how it works. The intensity is coming though..so it will all even out.
