Just rewatched the segment and ROCK completely owned! Punk did his best fine but I don't understand all this talk of how he destroyed The Rock verbally. All he said other than the generic "IM THE BEST AND ILL KICK YOUR ASS" is that "box with God" line and even though I'm not good with some of these infamous sayings, this is one I've heard before so it didn't really "surprise" me the way it seems to have others. But then again, some people (in here) worship Punk as their own personal god.

Gotta love the people on this site who think if you're some muscular freak that it automatically means you're a better fighter then the smaller fighter.

Punk = I don't care if your schedule is one day a year of 365 days a year, I will beat you.

That really says it all to me. It was well worth the wait to see Rock and Punk cut a promo on one another.

And guys. GUYS. It's not real. Nobody "won" It's fake. It's about selling the match, for both guys that's what it's about. Christ, listen to yourselves. It's so sad.

bro you can't be serious, sure Rock cut some jokes, but he mixed his insults with intensity and seriousness, and he threw in some serious solid points

AND he sold punk's threats well and put him over, he did say "I know how bad you are and how dangerous you can be" then went on to talk about the GTS on RAW 1000

you can't deny Rock was intense during that promo, especially towards the end when shit was really going down

you could tell that both men shared A LOT of chemistry when they were in the ring together, something Rock/Cena lacked a lot

and speaking of selling the match, RR tickets as of last night are completely sold out

, i'd say they sold it well

Last year I thought The Rock had lost it a bit. That little magic or something. Now I've realised that people were actually right, he was holding back because last night was the best I've seen him in all his brief appearances since I started watching again and it's because he had something to work with. The dynamic for the whole fued was set within 30 minutes. They don't even have to have another promo together and it will still be brilliant at the Rumble. I hope to God they have plenty more interaction though.

Yes, two different characters. One is versatile and can change around the fued as required without completely changing their gimmick. The other is stuck rigid in the same bland shite and requires people to work around them. I don't blame Cena, I blame Vince, but you can't compare last nights promo to last years. Last years had some decent moments but last nights was ten times better than anything they did last year.

Anyway speaking of turning the crowd was it just the stream I watched it on or were there some audible boos after the Rock Bottom on Punk. I couldn't tell if it was or just shitty sound on the stream.
