Punk's promo before The Rock came out was excellent.

After The Rock came out, neither he nor Punk had a great promo. Just run of the mill by their standards. They could have done it in their sleep.

The one thing missing from this feud right now is the sense that Punk is dangerous. He's a great wrestler and this and that, but I need to believe that if The Rock doesn't put him down for a 3-count that Punk is capable of putting The Rock in an ambulance. That is what would cement his character as one of the all-time greats. It's the only thing missing, tbh.

I'm excited to see where this all goes, though I doubt I'll watch much of it along the way. Depending on next week's show, I may go out of my way to watch their build-up promos though.

But we all know that isn't true and this is why he turns some of the fans away. People roll their eyes whenever he makes these claims. Especially since, ten minutes beforehand, he needed The Shield's help to beat Ryback. Where was all that skill and ability then? He hasn't won a match clean in forever. We haven't seen him back up his words as a heel. All he has done is run away and yet he is the most complete wrestler Rock has faced? Triple H in 2000 could make this claim and no one would bat an eye at it because he looked legit and backed up his threats.

I am sorry he just doesn't look intimidating enough to stand next to the Rock and there is no getting around that truth. Maybe, if he actually worked out and had flat abs I could see it but as he is now.....

Wow. I am absolutely amazed. This rock comeback was beyond awesome. It was vintage rock at his best. Got the crowd going, was intense and sold the WWE Championship match. I thought Rock was absolutely on fire. I thought Punk was good, too. But I don't understand how people love the promo style of Punk. I thought his Promo was, to be honest, really boring. Nevermind. Rock and Punk together will be gold. It really felt old-school. Time's up!
