The "God" line was also not "cool" at all, much less an own. Every other teen boy calls themselves God. Nobody still does that shit once they grow up. He sounded like he was some nerdy kid talking about his "godly" Call of Duty sniper skillz.

I thought Punk was awesome tonight and definitely outshined Rocky. Maybe it's because I find those worked shoot promos so interesting but all the stuff he said about guys like DBD, Brodus, and Kidd hit the nail on the head. Rock was OK but his schtick gets old and a lot of his jokes don't even make sense. Hopefully he gets more serious because Punk won't joke around with him like Cena did last year.

I thought it was a very good promo. The only negative was the crowd didn't boo him. Punk was so desperate to get heat (which is why it dragged on a bit in the end) but for some reason the crowd didn't understand that they were actually allowed to boo. It was annoying when they actually popped for various things he said, but when he was actually insulting the crowd, they didn't react at all. So yeah, good promo, poor crowd. Thankfully though Rock at least got them chanting at Punk.
That.s because todays crowds aren't smart. They haven't a clue.
Also, people don't take Azuran serious. He's a troll . For months and months he'd bash Punk and only cause Rock's back, he's pretending to be a Punk mark. Guy's boring.

The only really difference is that he's calling himself the "devil" in that promo instead of "god". It was just a recycled promo. Just like the pipebomb promo against Cena before MITB was a patchwork recycle of the Carlito promo against Cena a couple years prior.
All he did was change a few words around to fit the situation (i.e., use The Rock's name, etc), but the meat, potatoes, and most of the substance was either extremely similar or the exact same after the part about the snake.
