The Punk feud will be the perfect progression into a Rock/Brock Wrestlemania match because of the Heyman involvement. The Rock further legitimizes Punk on his way to the feud this way.

I expect Heyman to either abandon Punk for Lesnar and have Punk be a tweener going into an Undertaker feud or keep Punk as a heel that's affiliated with Lesnar through Heyman.

This will be the best RR/Road to Wrestlemania in years.

I was with him until he started talking about he didn't need the WWE Universe to be where he is today. Which is total bullshit. Had he not gotten over with his 6/17 promo he would be jobbing right now.

I don't think he was "holding back" against Punk; he honestly came across to me like he was slightly unprepared for this promo.

I know he normally uses catchphrases and throws out some lines he knows the audience will chant, but I felt like the he should have kept things a little more on the serious side this time.
We know he's capable of it, so watching him spiral into the "CookiePuss" stuff didn't appeal to me.

Also, I know that the big dig towards Punk from the Rock was supposed to be his "You couldn't start your revolution" line; but wasn't Punk's point before the Rock even got out there that he was doing everything for himself and that the audience didn't want things to change anyway so screw them?

IDK, maybe that's why Rock's promo didn't seem nearly as strong to me.
Either way, it has people talking so that's what matters the most for the ppv.

With Cena and Rock you always got the feeling like they were legitimately throwing insults at each other and just trying to 1 up each other.

Rock and Punk are working with each other and trying to bring the best out of the fued. I don't think Rock was unprepared are anything like that this is just his delivery nowadays.

Notice how Punk brought up ice cream bars beforehand. Not an accident. Rock was saying you tried to be a top face, tried to change the industry and the fans wanted none of it. It's basically Rock saying it falls on you.

Rock was clearly holding back in there feud it was painfully obvious while WWE desperately tried to legitimize there posterboy by having him "own" the greatest on the mic which still failed.

Punk doesnt even headline PPV unless its with Cena, yet Rock has still found a way to make him seem like a threat. IMO Punk lost all credibility when he acted like hes Rocks biggest challenge.
