Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
The Rock wasn't holding back. The Rock just doesn't do this as much as Punk does. You can't expect The Rock to be at his A Game when he only makes occasional appearances. I could even tell by his facial expressions that he tried hard not to laugh after his jokes and to keep his serious face, and also keep an intense face while Punk was talking to him face to face.
The Rock still did great out there though. I mean he is The Rock.

I'm happy. I believe the majority of fans will be happy with this and the internet smarks can continue doing what they've always done. That is never going to change.

Cenas selling was amazing tonight. Did you see that trainer?

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
I really don't think Rock's delivery is as good as it use to be. He sells the serious *ss kicker stuff very well because he is a brick wall, but in regards to his style, look, and overall presence it really just doesn't feel the same. Maybe it's just age, but you just don't get aura out of him anymore.
I think that was a fantastic promo overall but mostly because of Punk. He really did his job to suck the life out of the crowd, make you feel the Rock is actually returning but also display that he's just another false hope. Above anything else today's promo really sold me on the Streak vs Streak and Rock vs Brock.

I thought it was brilliant, and definitely one of the highlights of the night. I loved it, and I agreed with most of what he said. It was awesome.

Re: punk promo pre-rock entrance
I'll repost my thoughts on it from the Rock/Punk discussion thread:
It seems not a lot of people liked the first part of the promo before Rock came out and found it nonsensical and boring. I absolutely disagree. In my opinion it served as to for once and for all put a lid on any other beef Punk may have had leading up to that point. It was punk emerging as the victor, still champion, still here, still defiant. It crystalized his entire philosophy and helped him discard his previous, whiney gimmick and replace it with a much more credible, much more serious style. It was like watching him take off his ring attire and put on a suit of armor and preparing himself for a real war against the rock, and not just his previous opponents. He knew he wouldn't be able to pull the same shit against the Rock in that gimmick and therefore he "suited up" into his main event armor so to speak.

Re: Official The Rock vs. CM Punk Discussion Thread
I know that Rock is gonna win, but I honestly could care less who wins this match, as long as the match gets atleast 30 or near there. I just want to see a clinic between these two.
And I'm definitely gonna buy RR on PPV to see my boy face Rocky because I've been a fan of Punk for several years and seeing him face The Rock is gonna be a kickass moment for me, personally.

Without doubt, Punk's speech was the highlight of the entire show. He's unstoppable on the mic. Hell, I think he even owned the Rock on the Mic.

True.
With that promo he killed the cowardly heel and announced 'The best in the world' Punk was back.
