Yes, I think everyone was hoping they would have chemistry together. And they absolutely do. Rock and Punk have a lot more chemistry than Rock and Cena. For the past year, CM Punk has been cutting some pretty boring promos; I'm guessing its largely because creative gives him nothing to work with and he hasn't had a good sparring partner on the mic. I'm not sure if he's toning it down; Cena and Ryback aren't really on his level and that's why he probably pulls punches. Once The Rock started speaking, the crowd knew that the show was being taken to the next level. CM Punk didn't have to pull his punches this time because The Rock can handle it. The Rock won the crowd over pretty quickly; Punk had an AMAZING monologue and broke Rock down with the stuff about being unphased about the catchphrases and corny jokes. Crowd went nuts at the end with the Rock Bottom. Rock vs CM Punk should've been saved til Wrestlemania.

Fully agree. That promo was split down the middle, I'm a very big fan of both.

The thing annoying about this whole thing is bias. Because this here F1BOB guy criticizes Punk for using a God line, but if it was the Rock who used that line on Punk, then he would think it was the greatest line ever. Biased posters seriously need to log off and take that crap to youtube comment wars, it doesn't belong here.
