Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
Punk doesn't get hurt if he doesn't win the belt, but he has more to gain by beating the Rock than Rock has to gain by winning the title.

That's because it is a shot that's supposed to be against The Rock - The People's Champion. You can't use it against Lesnar because he's a heel and he really doesn't give a fuck either way. Cena or anyone calling Lesnar a sell-out is in a sense an ineffective shot at his character because he was never a fan friendly superstar. Lesnar never said he has passion or love for the business so it doesn't matter. I actually hate the "you sold out/you said you never leave/I'm still here" bullshit. It took away some of my interest in the Rock/Cena build last year. But I get what you’re saying. Especially the WAY they would edit and present those introspective videos on Rock and Cena individually. Rock usually looked like a Hollywood outsider while Cena was the Make-A-Wish/helping "the boys"/Mr. WWE hero.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
Just to clarify something about this Rock/Cena rematch. Like I said with Lesnar/HHH, if it was a different situation, I have no problem with a series of matches, which can go with twists of different heel/babyface dynamics. The first match was great and fans ate it up for every second with every dramatic moment or a nearfall, 100% invested in everything with the perfect finish. But the thing about is that Rock and Brock's matches are too rare to waste on a rematch when people already got everything they wanted out of the first one. If I was going to book the layout of the Rock/Cena match, it will be in the exact same way. Then you got the dream match factor, which you can't duplicate the magic of the first interaction in any presentation no matter how hard you try with titles and stipulations. That's the reason I don't want to see it again, especially with such a huge promotion for the first one. It's a one match blockbuster, what it meant to be from the start and what it needs to stay. They even closed it with an awesome documentary in a special DVD.

No problem bro, just thought it can be used a lot, especially now when The GOAT is coming back to be the Shark of greatness in the middle of a sea of mediocrity :Rock

The thing I will never forget about this pitiful process is the video package at the end of the WM27 NBC special, that was a disgrace to editing, if you wanna go with hardcore brainwashing, at least do it cleverly, but they probably never heard about this word. Like I said in the past, that was like spending hours every day trying to convince an audience that a local sprinter can beat Usain Bolt.

And Rock probably didn't care either. He was just doing business.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
No doubt, and the crowd didn't care about it either. Which is why they no sold every little desperate attempt to turn them against him while singing along on cue and enjoying being there in the moment. I have no doubt that Rock knew about the presentation of the feud, nobody in wrestling history is more aware to crowd manipulation like The Rock is, he mastered every aspect of it. But for him it was probably just having fun in front of the live audience again. He knows that he's a teflon, can overcome anything, anywhere against anyone and turn it into his own advantage, only one who is even close is Ric Flair. This rare talent and superiority is also why he helped so many guys on their way up.

Correction: He's coming back to be a whale in a tear drop of mediocrity.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
They won't do Rock-Cena II as I'm honestly 100 percent convinced we're getting Rock-Brock at this year's Mania, especially after reading Brock's book recently. Brock states in the book that he is "in the business for the biggest opponents to draw the biggest box office in the main event" , and he also states that he "feels obligated to give Rock another match" since he credits Rock for putting him over and making him look strong, also giving him his first big main event paycheck.
Lesnar is a money WHORE, and will probably accept nothing less than the main event spot at Mania, as will The Rock. The biggest PPV attraction in UFC history against the biggest PPV attraction in WWE history (the numbers say this for both men anyways) ? Title or no title, we NEED this match. I don't know how everybody else is going to be booked and whether it should be for the title or not, but.... WAIT.... Slap the title on The Rock, have Lesnar win the Rumble, and there we have it....
The biggest match of all time. I'm dead fucking serious when I say that. Watch Buyrate records be shattered.

Cena is a medium-sized fish in a medium sized pond. He's the fish that bullies all the little fish in the pond until the big fishes (Taker, HHH, Brock, HBK) come and put him back in his place, but then the whale comes(Rock) and eats all the fishes in the pond. Then the "Most Electrifying Whale in all of Marine Entertainment" retires back to his teardrop.
Summary: Cena ain't shit when the part-timers are around.

I really don't know why the WWE won't make their card like this for WM29:
Rock vs. Brock
Cena vs. Taker
Trips vs. Punk
^The two top matches on that card again will break every record ever set. Seriously. Imagine the business they would have. The 2 most mainstream stars today, the 2 most invincible kayfabe superstars possibly ever, and a different dynamic to the Trips/Punk angle. What a great lineup.
