Anyone who considers themselves a Rock fan and hates the idea of him winning the belt because "Punk looks weak" or "he's a part-timer" needs to get his priorities straight. I could care less about Punk in fact i hate him but Rock can win w/o making Punk look like a joke cant he? I just wish he could win w/o getting so much heat bc fans will probably boo him a little at RR for the reasons i listed above. If i were him i wouldnt have even come back bc fans are so ungrateful

Looking at WM last year, Punk will have to do a very good job to get a good match out of The Rock. But I think the build up and the crowd will make the match much better than anything we've seen in a while in terms of atmosphere etc.

Don't worry. The five indy midget lovers will barely hear their own voice, much less boos, when the huge ovation The Rock gets after a successful pinfall victory will be deafening for everyone including those watching at home. And besides, Phoenix, AZ is not exactly a smarky place so the only travelers from other places will be the ones too busy marking out for The Rock when he wins. The last thing I'm concerned about is The Rock's crowd reaction on that night. Specially since Punk is the clear heel and try his very best to get fans against him for the build-up.

Dude Punk sees this as an opportunity to shine, he will shoot like there is no tomorrow to try to prove hes somehow better than Rock. Sad part is he will do exactly what Cena did which is cry, whine, complain about non wrestling related stuff to try to turn fans on Rock about how he left while he stayed same old bs. Not to mention Dwayne being such a consummate professional will do the exact same thing he did for Cena which is water himself down to nothing and LET his opponent look good. The feud will be a joke and im not looking forward to it

It's funny because the people who say "why do you care about ratings just enjoy the show" are the ones who like to play fantasy booking & talk about "putting the young guys over" & "make new stars" but when a star is made (Ryback) they don't like it.

A majority of the fans will not think that way, Rock winning is not a bad thing. In fact as a Punk fan, Rock is best person to lose the title to. Punk has looked impressive with his 400+ reign and Rock won't bury him or anything like that. Rock and Punk will make each other look good, besides Punk is a heel.. They did not think that way when Cena lost to the Rock. Now he is facing Punk, who is a heel and is doing everything possible to get heat and hatred from the audience(which has been working well, the people whom I live with in university who casually watch simply refer to him as the "tattooed douchebag" ) The fans will eat up the Rock winning just as equally as they will shit on Punk retaining. Although I've always thought since last July Rock will win. I just hope it sets up a Punk VS Cena VS Rock main-event at WrestleMania or else Brock/Rock and Punk/HHH or something.

Eh, I don't see it that way. Unlike Cena/Rock, there's not that "I work my ass off every day and you never appear" crap (although Punk will no doubt talk about the latter) and there's no non-sense about Make-a-Wish work. This is not quite as big time as Cena/Rock so it'll be different. Plus Punk is the heel and unlike Cena, he wont be protected to the same extent in face-to-face confrontations. Rock will definitely be allowed to have more fun with insulting which Punk reacts to in "shock" as it always has been when Rock cuts a promo with a heel. Even though Punk is booked too good for his mediocre talent, he is not quite as protected as Cena.

Imo i think deep down Vince is to try to kill Rocks popularity. Theyve done practically everything in there power to make every situation hurt Rocks image further and further.

I think you're thinking too deeply with this whole "Vince and Hunter have a thing against The Rock and want to ruin him". As for Brock Lesnar, "I don't care about wrestling or the fans" has pretty much been his character since he returned.

So Cena dumps on Dwayne and claims he doesnt care about the fans/WWE yet gives the guy who admitted it a free pass, how does that make sense? Everyone has heard about the resentment Dwayne gets for headlining PPVs yet Lesnar gets a free pass? Something isnt adding up for me

I like Lesnar a lot and dont want him to get heat but i just find it weird Rock is so hated but not Lesnar when there both part timers
