Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

Triple H coming out to help John Cena beat The Rock thus turning them both corporate heel in the main event of Wrestlemania in New York of all places would be the most incredible thing to ever happen and I swear to God I'd mark out like I've never marked out before lol.

That would be the perfect way to end it...

...but almost seems too good to be true.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

People said the exact same thing about Cena turning heel last year. It's never gonna happen. What will probably happen is they'll shake hands after the match and both get booed.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

Those shield vests look awfully similar to the vest Rock wore in one of his recent movies.

Cross Promotion angle perhaps ?

The station that does have ways to measure viewership internally and were surprised at how well the shows have done.

More of a Shield reference, since they probably ripped the name from the tv show.

Just thinking about that...

It would definitely break that post-WrestleMania lull WWE usually has with a storyline like that.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

I really like the new "Two-Men Powertrip" scenario.

And unlike last time, this time it could really work. Because unlike last time when there were no credible faces to face Austin/Hunter, now they have lots of credible opponents for Cena/Hunter: Orton, Ryback, Sheamus, maybe Punk or even Lesnar after a face turn and of course the Rock himself.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

Why do people obsess with Cenas heel turn? It will never happen, at least not in the near future.

WWE will most likely just have Cena beat Rocky for the title and keep him boring and stale as always. Darn WM 28 has so much potential but there going to ruin it by having Rock/Cena II and Hunter/Lesnar II why oh why? Rock/Lesnar would be the biggest possible match right now, only a fool wouldnt book this then again WWE has proven to be completely incompetent.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

With him not being on Feb 4th and Feb 11th Raws. It makes me feel like Punk will beat him at the Rumble and the following night The Rock will declare that he WILL be at Elimination Chamber and in the Chamber to win the WWE Title and he goes and wins it in February. I think it will add legitimacy if Punk can go and beat Rock, it adds a load of dimensions to whatever feuds that build from it and I don't think it would do Punk ANY harm in losing to 5 other men in the Chamber.
