Raw - March 3rd
Raw - March 10th
Raw - March 17th
Raw - March 24th

Wrestlemania 19 - March 30th

Raw - March 31st
Raw - April 7th
Raw - April 21st

Backlash - April 27th

The only Raw he missed was April 14th, where he did a satellite promo. So far this year, we know he'll be at a fair few shows so far and I imagine more dates will be confirmed.

January 7th - Raw
January 8th - Smackdown
January 14th - Raw 20th Anniversary
January 21st - Raw
January 22nd - Smackdown
January 27th - Royal Rumble
January 28th

February 17th - Elimination Chamber
February 18th

March 31st

April 7th - Wrestlemania 29

That's 11 dates so far. So when it's all said and done we'll have at least 15 appearances or more. And this is at a time when Rock is about twenty times busier than he was in 2003. Anybody who criticises him for being part time needs to think again.
You forgot about a couple of his appearances in 03, bro. The one where he had the highlight reel segment with Booker/Christian/Jericho and late in the year where Rock N Sock re-united against La Resistance.

That said, I definitely wouldn't be surprised if he continued to make appearances this year after WM.

Apparently there are growing objections concerning The Rock's involvement at the Royal Rumble. Not sure if this was already posted, but here is the gist of the issue.

Quote:
At this time, there is reportedly growing concern within WWE as to whether or not CM Punk vs The Rock at The Royal Rumble is a wise move. The Rumble is a PPV that tends to sell itself, and has traditionally always been one of the most purchased PPVs throughout the years. The concern is over whether or not having The Rock in a high profile match at the Rumble is the best use of WWE's time and focus.

There are some officials feel that with The Rock appearing at the PPV, the attention paid to the Royal Rumble match will be less than what it should be from both an advertising and creative standpoint.

Currently there is no set plan or path on exactly what is going to happen regarding The Rock at Rumble and the road to WrestleMania. A few months ago, people would have stated that it was a sure thing The Rock wins the title at Rumble. But now there is less certainty as WWE is said to have not made final decisions on any of the high profile names, feuds and matches for WrestleMania 29.

So that means he's able to do what Phil pretend he could: leave the company with the WWE Championship.

I'd be pretty shocked if Rock didn't win. It goes beyond Rock and Punk. The only logical conclusion I can come up with regarding John Cena's poor booking in 2012 is he's getting a victory over Rock for the title. WWE is going to want to put Cena where they feel he belongs. It's not jobbing Mitb matches to Ziggler.

Lol, they're talking out of their ass. I remember a similar report from late 2011 where they claimed Rock/Cena might be off because "an influential voice" thinks it is not good for Cena's crowd reactions or some stupid shit. Then when Cena addressed that on twitter, he was like "I'll fight if I have to make this match happen".

For Christ sake...it's not about The Rock "needing" a title run or Punk "needing" to beat The Rock. It is about what the WWE title needs and what the WWE needs as a company.

Punk has done all he can to boost the title. The Rock, on the other hand, is the only person who can elevate it even higher than it currently is. And he is the only one who can garner the title mainstream attention.

It only makes sense that he carries it for a few months.

If the WWE knows they only have one more shot to have someone of The Rocks pedigree have a title run, then why the hell wouldn't they capitalize on it?

Again, the outcome of this match is NOT about what the title will do for the wrestler, it is about what the wrestler can do for the title.
