Nobody said that it's needs to be a normal wrestling match, but it also doesn't need to be a brawl, that's wrestling, you're not working a years of long term booking unless it's the same guys, now with HHH out of the picture, you got a different opponent, an opponent that can be better than HHH, more effective than him with a bigger chance to beat and match Taker's style, I'm not talking about Rock or Brock or any specific person. Just the context, from what you said, HHH and HBK are the best of all time and because Taker beat them in that type of match, nobody else can do it. Let's take this for example, because we're mostly talking in the borders of kayfabe land here, Chael Sonnen took arguably the GOAT in MMA Anderson Silva to the limit like nobody did before him, just killing him for 4 and half rounds, in a desperate move Silva was able to win the fight via Submission, now if another fighter, with different style and better skills, say Jon Jones, goes in and beat Silva in 2 rounds, does that mean that Silva was unbeatable because he fought one person for 4 rounds? no. Just means that he fought different styles and different caliber of opponent. Same thing with wrestling if you want the story to be fresh and exciting and not the same brawl every year with the predictable nearfalls and kickouts, nobody is more credible than The Rock today, a guy who beat Cena clean after 8 years. Don't get me wrong, I can get your view on this subject and personally I would much rather watch Rock/Brock than Rock/Taker, but that doesn't mean Taker suddenly became a repetitive one style guy. You're not giving these workers enough credit for their tremendous mind and ability to lay out a match IMO.
Yeah I heard about it, WWE of course didn't let this mainstream opportunity slip, and we know how much they hate when someone mentions them, even when there's nothing to do with them lol. Posted it on their website:

WWE enters “The Newsroom”
The Rock may be “The Most Electrifying Man in Entertainment,” but according to last night’s episode of HBO’s “The Newsroom,” the seven-time WWE Champion is also on the leading edge of breaking news.
Titled "5/1," Sunday’s episode of the acclaimed drama series situated inside a TV newsroom followed the journalists on May 1, 2011—the night the world learned of the death of Osama bin Laden. The characters on the show learn of the news via a tweet from The Rock that night.
In real life, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson alluded to bin Laden’s death in a tweet on May 1, 2011, at 10:24 p.m. ET – more than an hour before President Obama formally announced the development in a speech before a national audience.
“Just got word that will shock the world–LAND OF THE FREE…home of the brave. DAMN PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN,” The Rock tweeted.

Him taking the piss out of takers mohican would be hilarious.
They already had great interaction, with Rock completely no selling fear from Taker's character. I loved this period where you had to respond to what someone said about you earlier. Rock and Taker did it a lot in their WWF title feud and tag team feud in 1999, Taker saying something, Rock watching and an hour later responding to what he said in his segment. No script, no writers, just the wrestlers who know their character better than anybody else. That era is long gone. Everything is clean, bland and scripted today.
Some Rock/Taker promos:
We know from where Taker took his new hairstyle - :balo
That's fucking AWESOME, all we wrote about this Rock/Taker match is meaningless after watching this, great work:

I saw it posted by somebody, can't remember who, how Rock and Taker can have just a normal match if they were to fight at Mania and it would be fine. That couldn't be further from the truth. The simple fact is, since Mania 25 vs. HBK, the stakes have been raised for the streak matches every year. HBK tried to beat Taker by wrestling him, twice, and it didn't work. At Mania 27, HHH came out throwing bombs because he knew trying to beat Taker by wrestling him wasn't going to work. He had to go a different route, a more vicious one. Manis 27 lead us to HIAC which was even more brutal than before. Rock, or anybody else for that matter, coming in and trying to wrestle Taker would be ridiculous not to mention stupid. It would also ruin the beautiful consistency we've watched play out over the past 4 years for the streak matches and I'd absolutely hate to see that happen. It's Brock, Cena or bust for the streak from here on out.
This.
Taker can't have a normal match at Mania. Is all about destroying the streak and Lesnar is perfect for the role. I expect Cena/Taker to happen but to be honest it will be one of the worst matches of the streak.
That's fucking AWESOME, all we wrote about this Rock/Taker match is meaningless after watching this, great work:
You're right that was awesome!
Kudos to the person who put that together. I want to see this match at WM30. I think the atmosphere for a huge main event match between Rock and Undertaker would be glorious to witness.
As for WrestleMania 29, I want Rock/Brock and Cena/Taker but I don't see WWE going in that direction. At this point to me it looks like they are going to do Taker/Lesnar to tie into the story of Lesnar taking both HHH and Shawn out of action. Cena just mentioned Rock this past Monday and Rock going to be involved with the WWE Title on the Road to WrestleMania so I'm predicting Rock/Cena II for now even though I really don't want to see them feud again.
