It's not about Brock having a reason, it's about HHH having a reason and if they go with Lesnar/HHH, it'll be somehow HHH pulling Lesnar into a match, probably luring him in to "finish him off" since he failed to at Summerslam. Of course, it would lead to a HHH win, they'll be a tied, and if Lesnar re-signs, we'll probably be "treated" to the rubber. And for Taker/Punk, once again it's not about Punk being on Taker's radar, but rather the appeal of the streak that lures Punk in and knowing that if he ends it, he'll get the respect he desires. I mean, kayfabe-wise HHH wasn't even on Taker's radar for Wrestlemania 27 (no one in specific was), but it ended up happening. If you're talking credibility/star-power wise, you may have a point, but there is no one else for Taker if they go with the obvious rematches of Rock/Cena and Lesnar/HHH. Besides those guys, Punk's their best bet unless they want to build Orton back up, but at this point he's been booked just as weak if not weaker than CM Punk, and he's a face. Ryback still has ways to go despite being the most credible superstar based on build to put the streak in jeopardy. I think in a couple of years if Taker goes on past WM30, Ryback would be a good option if he maintains the aura he has now. Sheamus doesn't have the star power or exposure Punk has right now and isn't as credible as Ryback so that's a no-no. And no one else is really in the realm of possibility.

They could always have Taker take Wrestlemania off, but at the same time his streak has been too big a part of Wrestlemania these last few years where having it in a lower position than it's been the last few years is better than not having at all.

Anyway, it just seems obvious to me they're planning for the two big rematches from 2012 in Rock/Cena, with Rock winning the title and Cena getting a shot in some way, and Lesnar/HHH based on HHH's last promo. Taker/Punk or a Taker match isn't as much of a lock for me, though with him supposedly training for Mania, who knows? But it should be Punk/HHH and either Taker/Lesnar and Rock/Cena II or Taker/Cena and Rock/Lesnar.

I'm watching you...

Exactly what I'm expecting to happen too.

Ryback, are you hungry?

FEED ME MO.....

IT DOESNT MATTER IF YOU'RE HUNGRY!!!

@Sandrone - Punk not being on Taker's radar has everything to do with credibility and there's no, you may have a point about it lol. He isn't and most likely never will be. HHH can come out and challenge for the streak with nothing but a nod at the Mania sign because he's Triple H and he's at that level. CM Punk can't. If he isn't the champion heading into Mania, which I don't think he will be, the match is even more pointless. HHH pushed for the Brock match last time. Brock already beat him. Unless they are in fact planning to put Trips career on the line, Brock has no reason to accept a rematch.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

Rock should lose at the Rumble to Punk via whatever. Then have him win the Raw side of the chamber matches, and take it to WM vs Cena. (If they ABSOLUTELY HAVE to have that match for the title.) You could have a chamber match with Punk, Rock, Cena, Ryback, Dolph, and Big E Langston(think of all the storyline buildup you could have with that).

I'm personally very much against the idea of someone just dropping in once or twice a year for a title match, be it Rock, Undertaker, anyone.

I would love it if Punk beats Rock at Royal Rumble and then beat a top star(HHH or Lesnar or even Austin) at Wrestlemania.

All the stupid bitching about it is retarded too. When the matches get announced, then we can start bitching. Until then however, nothing is certain so I don't see the point in whining and contemplating selling your tickets and all that shit. It's stupid.

Besides, whilst Meltzer has got things right, I wouldn't exactly call it some great achievement. The vast majority of internet wrestling 'reporting' is complete and utter speculation based on educated guesses. You win some you lose some. Obviously folks are more inclined to believe what he says because of his sources but he's been proven wrong just as many times as he's been proven right. I take it all with a grain of salt and prefer to go with my gut. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong and that's that but I can make educated guesses based on what I see on my TV every week too just like anybody else, sources or no sources.
How often have you read the Observer or do you get your Meltzer news from terrible newzsites?

The line about he has been wrong as many times as he has been right is a dead give away your ignorance of what he actually reports and his names gets a attached to & posted on here.

I did suggest Punk/Sheamus for the WWE Title for WrestleMania earlier this year based on their interactions together last summer/fall. On the RTWM, have Sheamus switch over to the WWE Title picture (Chamber win) and Ryback go over to the World Title picture (Royal Rumble win). But when people read that most didn't like the sound of that either.

With that said, Vince probably doesn't care about booking a nostalgic WWE Title win with Rock or Taker over Punk, even if it's only for a few weeks or even a day.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

I've forgotten what Sheamus can even do when he's not wrestling a squash match or vs Big Show. I do remember him being pretty great in the EC a couple years back when he was a heel.

Back to the Rock tho- if he wins the title at the Rumble, and isn't active on a weekly basis through WM, it will be horrible. If he does show up every week, and partakes in the EC too, then it might not be so bad.

I'm going to hope that The Shield gets involved in the match at the RR.

Its guaranteed. but I think that a lot of people will get involved in that match.

The Shield, Ryback, Kane, Bryan,.. possibly Cena. Zigler, Ryblack, AJ, Brad Maddox.

I see the Rock looking really strong overcoming most of the cluster, but still losing.

maybe a spot with Cena goes to give Punk a belt shot and hits Rock instead. idk.

Having Punk go over is the right thing to do.
