Even though he hasn't had the opponents others had back in the day, his reign has been forgettable.

Agree about his match with Rock being the peak of his reign though.

Ratings don't matter at this point. They're not even competing with anyone for ratings to matter anymore. Besides the entire product should be blamed for ratings, not Punk. Not when he's barely wrestling. lol

Also being stuck with shit opponents have a lot to do with a forgettable reign. Stop putting it all on Punk when he's had chicken shit to work with like that awful Ric Flair segment. They keep sticking Punk in horrible stuff so of course his reign will be horrible.

i some what agree with you but having the rock (the biggest star in the world of wrestling today, in the past and nobody will ever touch the heights he got to) ne the wwe champion would bring DEM RATINGZZ in and also could easily bring much more mainstream exposure to them and we all know vinny loves mainstream exposure.

Punk represents the product so the blame is 100% justified.

He is a flop because their attempt at making him a star failed horribly. Even when he was red hot during the Money in the Bank build-up, ratings went down. And look what happened when they stopped making him play second fiddle to Cena and whoever he feuded with. Ratings started decreasing faster than they ever have. To the point that a 2.5 is considered "okay" nowadays. Since Punk appeared about 3-4 times every week when ratings were at their lowest and they have gone up in the past few weeks when he's made minor 5 minute appearances, it's safe to say he's a flop that failed to deliver on par with the expectations for him. It's not all his fault, but he's certainly at fault and there's only so long you can use the "shit product" as the scapegoat.

And comparing him to Tensai just shows what a flop he is. That you have to compare him to someone who was doomed from the start with a stupid gimmick to prove he's not a flop... lol.
