Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
That would be great too, but how long would that mean he holds onto the belt? He beats Cena, then Lesnar at WM and what happens after that? SummerSlam is a bit too far away for a match with Orton where he can drop the title. He shouldn't just vacate it because that makes the title look bad. Or perhaps, they can have Cena/Rock III at Extreme Rules (I know, I know it's a B PPV but that didn't stop Lesnar/Cena from happening) where Cena turns heel to win. That way, the Rock's defeat to Cena will be well worth it at least.
But yeah, Orton/Rock is perfect for SummerSlam 2013. Orton had his dream match with Hogan in SS 06, so it would be a great trend for him to continue having matches with legends at the second biggest PPV, similar to past matches against Benoit, Undertaker and Hogan.

I've never understood the logic for that. Yeah, it's a B PPV, but it still costs just as much as the others. People complain about the cards of B PPVs all the time and then the same people complain when a big match goes on a B PPV. And it's like 90% aren't buying it anyway. ~___~
Just continues the whole argument that wrestling fans refuse to be happy.

I agree. Only B PPVs that I don't approve big matches being 'wasted' on are the throwaway ones that follow another PPV by two or three weeks. Examples being Over the Limit (Judgment Day made sense here back when brand extension existed, now it's just pointless) and Hell in a Cell (fuck this gimmick PPV!).

Completely agreed there. I hate HIAC because they're forced to take what ever the big feud is at the time and turn it into a HIAC with literally no heat on it.
And OTL really is just a transition PPV now.

Knowing WWE, if that last line is the case, then HHH/Brock 2 is sure to happen. I strongly can't rule out Rock vs Cena 2 @ mania thou with Cena going over.
@ C2D Cena's heel if to happen is sure to be something HUGE, so I think Vince wants a hell of a lot of peeps watching for sure.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
The logic in not wasting huge matches on B PPVs, besides the stupidity in putting a potential big draw in a show that has no chance to get more than a few extra buyers, is the platform. If Rock and Orton are wrestling at EC next year and putting on a classic match, it's not going to be half as memorable as a Rock/Orton match on a big PPV with big hype and promotion behind it. You can't create the big time feel on every show in the clean environment of the WWE today, especially when even the matches on the big shows with that feel are so rare. That's why guys like Rock and Brock, and their matches obviously that can draw big, shouldn't be wasted on shows that has no potential to garner a big share of the audience.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
Rock/Orton interests me a lot. Rock/Brock doesn't interest me at all. In fact, the thought of Rock having a match with this version of Lesnar makes me chuckle, especially after his last 2 matches with Cena and HHH. The thought of Rock actually going over is even worse.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
Orton doesn't deserve a match with Rock. He bitched and moan last year like a bitch, then said sorry a few months later. Bitch.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
I still can't see any way that WWE does WrestleMania XXIX without Cena/Rock II. The Rock got a clean victory over Cena and you can't tell me that Cena isn't going to get that win back. No way WWE leaves that hanging. They have an endgame in mind. Cena will defeat Rock on the grandest stage, this time for the WWE Championship that he's been chasing, and it will make him look even better than before.

Eh, don't get this thinking. You saying you think Rock is less credible that Cena and HHH?
Rock is a huge dude. He's more than credible to be in the ring with Brock.
