Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

Rock/Orton interests me a lot. Rock/Brock doesn't interest me at all. In fact, the thought of Rock having a match with this version of Lesnar makes me chuckle, especially after his last 2 matches with Cena and HHH. The thought of Rock actually going over is even worse.

Orton doesn't deserve a match with Rock. He bitched and moan last year like a bitch, then said sorry a few months later. Bitch.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

I still can't see any way that WWE does WrestleMania XXIX without Cena/Rock II. The Rock got a clean victory over Cena and you can't tell me that Cena isn't going to get that win back. No way WWE leaves that hanging. They have an endgame in mind. Cena will defeat Rock on the grandest stage, this time for the WWE Championship that he's been chasing, and it will make him look even better than before.

Eh, don't get this thinking. You saying you think Rock is less credible that Cena and HHH?

Rock is a huge dude. He's more than credible to be in the ring with Brock.

He's credible sure, as a star attraction and all that but Rock has never been a fighter. When I say fighter I mean that in the context of the WWE. Triple H is a fighter in WWE terms. Cena is a fighter in WWE terms. They've both been in some pretty brutal battles. Rock was never that guy. He was the flashy entertainer guy. I'm not saying he hasn't had fights/brutal matches or anything but the thought of Rock saying to this Brock Lesnar that he's going to put the boots to his candy ass makes me lol. The thought of him hitting those patented Rocky punches makes me lol even more. Brock is much better having a match with Taker than he is Rock because Taker is in the same vein as HHH/Cena. Rock has more credibility than the 3 of them but he isn't and never was a guy renowned for his fighting/brawling/whatever you want to call it skills. It's a different kind of credibility of that makes sense.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

Lesnar/HHH was your regular brawl, the Cena match was different but nobody is going to sell for him like that. Rock can wrestle a brawl with Lesnar with no problem, besides one stiff clothesline from Brock to HHH, there was nothing special that Rock wouldn't do in terms of his Hollywood career, let alone can't do. In the Cena match at WM28, Cena almost broke Rock's neck with that stupid top rope leg drop. That was alone a bigger bump than anything they did with Lesnar and Hunter, other than that it was all selling, no hard way or stiffness.

Best scenario IMO is Rock killing Punk on RAW, beating Cena at the Rumble and going to face Rumble winner Lesnar at WM29, nothing is bigger or better than that.
I disagree. EC is one of the bigger B-PPVs because it's the "Road to Wrestlemania". The February PPVs tend to have huge matches.

02: well no match but the return of the NWO was huge
03: Hogan/Rock

I'm not talking about Rock's ability to wrestle the match or take bumps. I'm sure he could do all that no problem. I'm talking about my and possibly others ability to buy into it. It's like Heyman said about bringing a fighter into an entertainment company. Well, at least inside the entertainment company there are guys known for being fighters and guys known for being entertainers. Taker is a fighter. HHH is a fighter. Cena is a fighter I suppose. HBK is an entertainer. Rock is an entertainer. That's what I mean. You already have to stretch your believability to buy into Lesnar fighting Cena and HHH, 2 guys who are much better known for their fighting than Rock. For me personally, after seeing Lesnar's matches with Cena and HHH, the thought of putting Rock in there and actually winning seems pretty silly to me now. I'd much rather it be Taker because I'll be able to buy into that.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

Cena a fighter? Really?

Come on.

Put the biggest stars in the ring with him and I'll believe it. It's pro wrestling.

Put Brock Vs Rock on PPV and I'll damn sure buy it. I didn't buy the Lesnar/HHH match.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

And I don't know if I would buy into Rock in that environment. The thought of a match between them with this version of Lesnar doesn't click for me at all. Taker/Brock is MUCH more appealing imo because Taker is everything Rock is not when it comes to being paired off against Lesnar.
