Good scenario can be Rock going over at the Rumble, then Lesnar costing Rock the belt at EC. That way you gave the payoff of Rock as WWE champion AND can do Rock/Brock at WM29 without worrying about the title after the show. That of course is only if Rock is working EC. For the night after WM, if Rock plans to work in 2014, you can book Rock/Taker for the streak after Rock declares that he did everything besides challenging Taker at WM. It was important to keep Rock in the company in some way, which is why Rock did this:
If he's still in storyline after WM29, announcement of the match or at least a hint for the streak is the best way to do it. Maybe a Rock/Taker staredown. In the middle you can do Rock/Orton in the battle of the 3rd generation wrestlers at Summerslam or Rumble. But that's already based on the schedule.
Thumbs up for this and I love the idea. Rock gets the title, and then drops it in the chamber to a full-timer that will gain a lot from dethroning Rock, even if it is due to Lesnar interference. Rock beats Lesnar at Mania, Taker beats Cena and then we get Taker/Rock at WM30 (along with Punk/Austin if that goes through). Damn, I'll have to save my money for that, no matter where Wrestlemania 30 is. I'd even be cool with Rock/Orton sometime between it as suggested in this post.
I do wonder what would happen after Wrestlemania 30 for Taker and Rock. I can't see them both calling it a career in one night. Maybe Taker retires and Rock continues to go for Wrestlemania matches against a heel Cena at WM31, and I guess Ryback if he's big enough by WM32. Following that, I can't begin to imagine what would be next for Rock in WWE match-wise if anything. Rock/Sheamus or Orton (if he hasn't faced him by that point)? Rock/Mysterio (if Mysterio's still around)? None of them scream "main event" to me except maybe Rock/Orton. Fuck, who really knows what stars there will be by Wrestlemania 33, 34, or 35? Too far in advanced to think I suppose. Still, I'd love to see Rock/Sandow at one of those Wrestlemanias provided Sandow remains awesome throughout the years.
Edit: I also think it would be cool for Rock to compete at Summerslam so he'd have at least competed at all big 4 PPV's once since his return.
I've got some bad news...

I don't know if Rock316AE or any Rock marks already said this, and if anybody has, then sorry, but Rock could make history at RR. Wasn't he the Rock one of the very few people to win the WWE title at a RR? and when was the last time the title changed hands at a RR? Rock may be that dude to do it for a second time. I wonder if he'll bring that up in a promo or in a video package.
Edit: It's in the OP, but yeah, it should be something to put in the books if it happens.

If I recall correctly, Rock is booked for Raw Jan. 7th, 21st (go home show to Rumble), and 28th (night after Rumble). Jan. 14th is the 20th Anniversary of Raw show so you would assume he would make an appearance. Rock's also scheduled for Raw Feb. 18th (night after Elimination Chamber) and apparently the Elimination Chamber PPV itself.
Spoiler for Santa Claus, Go Straight To The Ghetto:
If the rock can stay full-time after wm, maybe until ER or OTL, then he should keep the title until the day he leaves imo, the rock has never had a decent reign, expect his 4 month reign in 2000 wich tbh is not a good enough reign for the GOAT. him holding it until OTL or beyond would finally give the rock wat he needed and that is a long epic title reign.
