Still a possibility he is in the match as non-champion. Small chance... but I mrean really, this isn't surprising. We all called it last year that it would pretty much be Rock/Cena II at WM. Though maybe they'd actually try Ryback v Rock... o god would that be horrible.

Yeah I keep going back and forth on this. When I first heard this I posted earlier I thought it meant he loses at RR. Now I can kind of see him defending the title in the chamber. But it's going to take some interesting storytelling as to why he suddenly is fighting 5 other guys. Plus the Feb PPV is not too far after the RR so they're going to have to tell that story pretty quick.

I'd suspect the match is something like

Rock (c) vs. CM Punk vs. John Cena vs. Ryback after that the final 2 can really be anyone. Kane/Bryan/Del Rio/Miz maybe even Lesnar.

^ they can also do Rock vs Punk II inside the chamber and have # 1 Contender's match for the WWE title inside the Chamber. Along with WHC Championship match inside the Chamber. If they wanted too.

Yeah if The Rock is the champion and they do Rock/Punk II it gives a clue that Punk is fighting someone else at WrestleMania. I doubt highly they'd do Punk/Rock III 3 months in a row.

i'm gonna sound like a real fanboy but, Rock is gonna be a regular for the first time in 10 years, even if it's only three months..

There's a feeling internally that The Shield need to win their debut match and even though it would be three shows in a row that Ryback was on the losing end, at least this time he won't have to take the pin.

There was talk of trying to get The Rock to make a surprise appearance at TLC, to make good for having to remove the WWE Title match, but he likely will not be appearing.
